The Zen of Comment Spam [Karl]

A Dark Obituary For A Common Man on Still a bit under the weather, but I’m feeling much better, thanks.

Americans Maybe Not So Racist? [Dan Collins]

Obama’s early success causes the Moderate Voice to muse: Watching America was launched during Bush’s presidency, and most of the content it has had to work with from around the world has (therefore) been negative toward the U.S., but almost without exception, the superficially anti-American news and views from Chile to China, Argentina to Australia, hav always been at their core, decidedly pro-American: op-eds that complain about the U.S. very rarely

Taking nominations in all categories. Maybe we can find one for Helen Thomas.

a poem for Satchel on this, his fourth birthday

You probably don’t remember how you looked when you came mewling into the world, but I do, because I happened to be right there. You’re much taller now. Which, for reasons you’ll understand when one day you become a dad yourself, is an observation I find terribly bittersweet.
