Nearly every time Glenn Reynolds links me, this pathetic troll shows up to rehash a grudge he’s carrying from 14 years ago — one for which he was entirely in the wrong, as I’ve proven many times with contemporaneous links. He ignores those links, then waits for the next time I’m mentioned before starting the whole thing over again. Because the world owes Patrick J. Carroll free content for years on end, or he’s just not having it!

Just look at his comments in this thread. They have nothing to do with my article. They libel me repeatedly. They reference Deb Frisch, for fuck’s sake — making it out like I wronged her somehow. I mean, Imagine championing Deb F’ing Frisch, who has twice been denied parole since her imprisonment. That’s quite the hill to die on, chief.

Some stalkers just won’t ever quit me, I guess.

I have both a search function and an archives going back to 2001. If anyone wants to find the truth of this matter, all they have to do is look.

But Patrick J Carroll won’t do so. Because he’s an obsessive psychopath. Who fears me stalking him.

Trust me when I tell you this, Patrick: I don’t think of you at all when you aren’t crapping all over threads that have nothing to do with your absurd, relentless griping over a check you sent me 14 years back that didn’t, to your constant upset, buy me as your personal scribe in perpetuity. Whereas you seem to have developed some algorithm that lets you know the second my name appears on the web. So you shouldn’t be worrying about me “showing up at your front door”; just as I don’t really worry about you showing up at mine — despite your hyper-aggressive obsession with me — because we both know how that would end.

By the way: these short posts noting your boorish behavior aren’t “long screeds” that libel you. They’re accurate reflections of your comportment when viewed from my amused perspective, now 14 years on.

Update: I’m not sure what time zone Patrick J. Carroll lives in, but as of 3 am mountain time, according to my email, he was still up and posting nasty comments about me. Now, six short hours later, he’s back at it, posting several this morning, as well.

Now that’s the Christmas spirit!
