Cue the Tiny Violins [Dan Collins]

Bwahahaha!  From Jane Hamsher at Firedoglake: Lieberman Throws Howard Dean Under the Bus Damn!  I can’t find the video on YouTube. Money whine: Let’s see, this week he’s already castigated the “Democratic leadership” — Pelosi and Reid – for “politicizing” the Foley matter, now he attacks the head of the DNC.  They’ve turned Gentle Uncle Joe into this:

my second brief conversation with my new home owners association (HOA) covenant

me: “Here’s the thing, HOA covenant:  If I’m only allowed to put out the one garbage can—that is, if the waste management folks will only take what I can fit into that single, subdivision-specific plastic trash bin—then all the broken down cardboard boxes and crap-stuffed Hefty bags from our move are going to have to sit there on the side of the house until such time as we stop accumulating

On a slightly offbeat track, this latest report from MEMRI on the ongoing attempt by Islamists to drag Turkey, a secular Muslim nation with a democratic tradition, back into those halcyon days of the 7th century. It suffers from being a translation but, if you just stick with it, it gets really fascinating at the end. Apparently, the Turkish military is the major obstacle standing between the democratic Turkey envisioned

Once Upon a Time . . . [Dan Collins]

there was a very poor country ruled by a strange and evil emperor, named Kim.  Kim didn’t like it that other countries didn’t take his seriously, so he threw lots of tantrums to get attention, and spent his money on pornography as his people starved.
