The LA Times compares Hillary to prose and Obama to poetry; Andrew declares the argument “solid.” Concrete poetry? Arse poetica? Do you accept this dialectical materialization from one who’s been accused of gauziness?
Dost tease us out of thought, as doth eternity.
Also, from LGF, Bobby Fisk hilariously punked.
Yes, oratory about the magic changeyness dust is poetic. Meaningless, but poetic nonetheless. Kind of like reading Bret Easton Ellis. Quite unfulfilling after you have absorbed it.
I would compare Hillary more to like a Marie Callender’s turkey pot pie while Obama is more like Ramen noodles. That’s solid I think.
I think Marie Callender’s turkey pot pie tastes good, though.
Oh. Good point. She can be that Delimex stuff I never get that they replaced the burritos I used to buy with then. Delimex. What. Ever.
There was a place in Madison, WI, named Delitalia. Driving by I aways thought I saw genitalia out of the corner of my eye.
in the Picnic Cup, a bronzed baked bean can with golden wings sits on a worn stone base.
Hear, hear!
The LA Times compares Hillary to prose
Writ loud.
Andrew Sullivan is so crazy for Obama that I do believe he actually believes all those “stories.”
A poem should not mean
But be
Be what?
P.S. Except Miss Harbin’s class, that is.
That statement could actually mean a whole lot of things. Hillary being compared to prose, does that mean that all that she is can easily be seen by the public. If it is such then we can conclude that she is a candidate with a wider reach of followers,as opposed to that of Obama’s poetry. It is quite rare that people truly enjoy poetry. It takes a bit more effort to know them more.
Good metaphors actually. They make us think as to the opinions of the people in this election.
“Clinton is an essay, solid and reasoned…” Being solid and reasoned, it’s like her personality is well-understood by the public. She’s what we see. I have always viewed Hilary Clinton as a strong woman who knows what she wants.
“Obama is a poem, lyric and filled with possibility.” He could be a promising candidate but a poem is a poem. Filled with promises that could be or could not be true and is difficult to understand.
