Dems 2008: Already more super-delegate snark [Karl]

The New York Times updates on the candidates’ efforts to snag super-delegates in the event that the Democratic presidential nomination is not be settled in the primaries and caucuses.  Super-delegate Donna Brazile, last heard threatening to quit the party over the possible impasse, is getting lobbied by her niece.  Meanwhile, the candidates state their positions: Mr. Obama, talking to reporters in Seattle on Friday, said he believed superdelegates should follow the

GOP 2008: For a good time, call Jules Crittenden, et al. [Karl]

As long as people whose work I normally respect and enjoy, like Jules Crittenden, continue to write pieces about how McCain refuseniks should “grow up” and stop throwing a “tantrum,” I guess I will have to continue writing pieces that point out that their position is hypocritical and their approach is counter-productive to their goal. The Democratic angst over the Michigan and Florida delegations grows as more people ponder the possibility that neither Sen. Hillary Clinton nor Sen. Barack Obama will lock up the nomination before the party’s convention. Dan and Carin flagged the growing dispute about the Michigan delegation this morning. The Michigan Democratic Party said Friday that Sen. Hillary Clinton will get 73 pledged delegates, while 55 delegates will be uncommitted since Sen.

YAF Hosts Coulter; delightfully sticks finger in the eye of CPAC

Coulter’s speech can be viewed in its entirety here. One line that sticks with me: “If [the conservative grassroots] had a month, we could have educated primary voters” — and McCain would never have gotten the Republican nomination. But alas.
