Don’t you have to go join the daily circle-jerk over at Sadly No! or something? Oh that’s right, they ignore you more than we do here… why’s that? You should probably speak to someone from Poland and ask them about what they think of Reagan, Thatcher or Pope John Paul. You’ll see an enthusiasm & gratefulness towards America that you should be your natural birth-right, not something to express only in disdain & disgust. It’s a pity that your political ideology prevents you from feeling the pride that comes from knowing your country is truly great & makes a difference throughout the world & I really pity you for that.
Its bad enough you mangle logic or history, seeing only that which verifies what you already believe, but to question the motives of a people expressing their gratitude for someone who decided to not just stand aside, but challenged real oppression of religion or free speech or of a people & region itself. Granted it’s not the imagined slights about the Bush Administration that you & your ilk scream about daily… it is & was real.
Nope, it’s more like how your side of spectrum ignores the opinions, feelings & thoughts from our troops doing the work over seas & in harm’s way today. Funny how their views over the War in Iraq, 9/11, Saddam, Al Qaeda, George Bush or the Democrats never get mentioned or considered by you at all. But if a columnist from the NYT quips about the costs of Iraq, if a Senator who voted for the War & tries to maintain the appearance of being concerned for the troops while questioning their actions, plans or intelligence, if 1 parent – out of the thousands that believe in the efforts that children gave their lives for -demands its end, if 1 soldier refuses to do his duty, while over a million have shouldered the responsibility & laid their lives on the line, your side manages to only recognize, support & cheer that effort alone. If one poll shows that the majority of people question the war, that’s the source you’ll use to fuel your righteous, holy-then-thou attitude, but you never mention or pay attention to the fact that the over-whelming majority of Americans actually in Iraq, & not on the media’s payroll, want to finish the fight, to rebuild Iraq, to free the civilians, not kill them & to finish the damn job. Those convenient little facts never enter into your reasoning, because they don’t reflect the positions you’d prefer.
You’re pathetic, but not because of what you believe or the fact you can’t argue or make a point, it is because you don’t have the guts to question your own beliefs. It’s because you cannot allow yourself to ever question yourself or admit you are wrong. It is so much easier to tear down those making an effort, when you make none yourself, to attack ideas presented, when you present nothing, to jump upon mistakes made by others, when you are too chicken-shit to offer solutions yourself. Hell, you can’t even manage to present what it is you believe or stand for, you only offer up how everyone else is wrong. If you do manage to offer a stance, it is always well after the fact – a dollar & day too short.
You have already shown an inability to answer direct questions to you, but answer me this: Why the fuck do you continue to come around here if you are so much more knowledgeable or smarter than the rest of us? Though since you’ve fail to ever make a point that hasn’t been dismantled by facts you cannot repute, we know that isn’t true. You don’t debate, you attempt to demean, you don’t offer a different perspective, you offer critique, you don’t even bother to follow the thread or stay on topic. Either you are here to enlighten us or get attention. Since you have yet to enlighten anything, much less present a valid or coherent argument, it must be for the attention… right?
I suggest from now on, we the community alphie wishes only to poison, should ignore him outright & starve him of what he craves the most, ATTENTION. I for one, no matter how inane or pathetic he is, will ignore him outright.
