I was listening to NPR this morning, and they were trying their damnedest to talk down the Coalition’s efforts. Yes, the Taliban were driven out of the village, BUT…Yes, the Canadians cleaned their clock, BUT…Yes, hundreds of Taliban were killed, BUT…
I don’t think I’ve ever properly thanked the Major for his regular service, let alone the service he has provided us through IP and his own blog.

Professor Reynolds is my blogfather. I had just started reading blogs when I got mobilized – so I dashed off two short e-mails; one to Insty and one to Andrew Sullivan, both saying I would send pictures and reports when I could. Sullivan never answered, Insty did … the rest is blog history.
The Afghan News is inspired by, and a poor imitation of Arthur Chrenkoff’s past work. Man, I miss his blog.
