Statistical evidence that you CANNOT QUESTION THEIR PATRIOTISM!

Or maybe…not so fast: Link Mecca parse the full text of bin Laden’s latest audio missive and finds it “littered with lefty talking points.”
Of course, as Alan Colmes would be quick to point out, don’t hate the left because we’re correct—and that murderous, head-lopping jihadis just happen to agree with us. That’s not a self-fulfilling prophesy fueled by fifth column anti-American agitprop coming from one of our two political parties; that’s just good ol’ fashioned horse sense that even the jihadis can see.
Why can’t you buffoons on the right simply admit that fighting terrorism by fighting terrorism is bound to cause an increase in the fighting of terrorism?
Anyway, here are two new unassailable progressive talking points, each delivered with a straight face, neither considered a contradiction to its counterpart: 1) The NSA “leak” (we prefer “whistleblowing campaign designed to save Americans from the indignities of having their conversations with foreign agents scrutinized by The Suits”) DID NOT IN ANY WAY hurt our national security. Clearly, Usama bin Laden and the rest of Al Qaeda already knew we were listening to their communications. So what’s the big deal? If anything, Bush gave away secrets likely to help the Islamists slaughter us in greater numbers. Us, we’re just trying to get along.
2) Anything said by liberal Democrats in our press (that is then repeated in the international press)—eg., the President “lied”; he “took us to war on false pretenses”; the war is about “oil and Caspian natural gas pipelines”; Chimply McHitlerburtons Arabist adventure was preordained by a religious zealotry that, in a series of visits from the archangel Gabriel, commanded him to bring about end times, slaughter the Muslims, and welcome Jesus back to Texas for a good ol’ fashioned rib and cobbed corn barbecue; “neocons” are pulling the strings, and this entire ginned up “war on terror” is simply a backdoor way for the Zionists to control the region, and to solidify their hold over international banking; the war is unwinnable, and retreat the only honorable out; Iraq is worse of than before the invasion, when the kites of ancient Araby danced in the gentle breezes of Bagdhad, and the people rejoiced at the benevolance of their stern—but poetic and fair—leader; that Halliburton and paid mercenaries are the true benificiaries of this prolonged looting of the treasures of storied Mesopotamia—NONE OF THESE THINGS GET BACK TO OUR ENEMIES, or are in any important way used by them. I mean, Jesus— you conspiratorial Rethugs act like tea-sipping Jihadists pay attention to what goes on in our press. HA! They are too busy hiding in caves, are they not? On the run from the great bloodthirsty US military juggernaut? When they are not fully aware of the inner workings of our highly classified NSA programs—the leaks about which therefore cannot be construed as treasonous?
Christ. How dense are you wingnuts, anyway?
So, conversely, if the election were held today and OBL weren’t kept out of the race by those pesky eligibility requirements in the Constitution, he could only expect to carry Vermont and Massachusetts–and perhaps California. That’s actually somewhat reassuring. When do we invade those countries?
I demand a recount. The butterfly fold and arcane wording of this poll’s question made it difficult to determine whether Bush or Bin Laden was being chosen.
Surely a “dissident” like Bin Laden shouldn’t outdo the “world’s biggest terrorist.”
I suspect the use of multisyllabic “despise” instead of “hate” may have been Bush’s undoing.
Some reality they have going there. The very idea that one would post a poll like that indicates the hinges are not just broken, but lifted off the planet yesterday with New Horizons.
The fact that some of those idiots voted in the “despise Bush more” column indicates that maybe the NSA does need to skim some additional chatter.
Just to amke it interesting:
Who does PW readers despise more, OBL or Kos? I’d wager the latter wouldn’t get a single vote here.
Wishbone-
OBL, not even a question. I like your point that the fact Kos thought it a reasonable question to ask his flock shows a deep depravity in viewpoint.
TW: Not to say that I would pass up the chance to punch Kos straight in the gonads but, hey, everyone’s got to have a hobby.
Amusingly, I was going to make the same joke befor I saw the word.
Wishbone & Paul: Of course, I agree with your assessment of OBL as a greater threat.
But like the Left, the civvie Right has a tendency to lash out at those threats it has a better chance of controlling – and Kossack and his fellow fifth-columnists are on the level of a threat we can fight, if only with words.
You know the fun part is watching the MSM twist itself into pretezels covering for the left’s dementia.
You know, I’m already in a rage today. I have money in a SalArmy trust account (A LOT of money) and they are trying to tell me that less than a 2% return is acceptable!
So you know what? I had better not come across Ted Kennedy, Harry Reid, or Nancy Pelosi today. Don’t even MENTION Howard Dean.
Thanks.
One Pissed Off Dog
Wishbone, I take option C. UBL is dead, so let bygones be bygones, Kos is up for a cluebatting.
Actually, there was a diary entry (by a person calling himself “A Patriot,” ironically) that explained why he felt he liked bin Laden more than Bush, and he was the one who created the poll. The diary entry was removed about an hour after I saw it (The Corner linked it), but for some reason they kept the poll up.
I’d actually be interested in a side by side comparison of the kossaks and OBL- especially what they say and what they thing. I suspect the analysis would open some eyes.
That being said, there is far less danger from the stupidity at Kos then there is from aircraft and islamic bombs.
Wishbone makes a good point. The right isn’t necessarily more civil than the left, but it just wouldn’t occur to most people on the conservative end of the spectrum to compare an American, however contemptible, with someone who is actually waging war on America and American values.
Pity they took down the comments thread. It would have been interesting to see if any of the Kossacks found that poll offensive–and if so, why.
Well, I have been saving up for my own Predator drone, but damn they’re expensive. In the meantime the only recourse I have against Islamic extremism are my legendary cayenne rubbed, Jack Daniels sopped smoked pork loin kafir ribs. Zarqawi’s already issued a fatwa against them.
IIRC Kos-hand side of the blogosphere decried the White House’s assertion that Murtha’s withdrawal proposal sounded like it was coming from the “Michael Moore” left–they said it was a smear. Yet now they are decrying Chris Matthews’ suggestion that OBL’s tape sounded like it was coming from Moore. So is Moore one of their guys or not?
Jeff:
They’re “moonbats” not “wingnuts”. We’re the wingnuts. C’mon lets get our pejoratives straight.
Nice channeling of PIATOR, Jeff. Can’t say as I miss that New Zealand numbnuts, but I have to admit that the contrast between posts was invigorating.

When Jeff issues a rant, it’s best to read it carefully. He was ranting from the viewpoint of an unhinged lefty, so naturally the wingnut appellation is appropriate.
Mmmmm… Barbecue…
