Voice of America?

John Kerry, discussing the Karl Rove / Valerie Plame dustup:

It’s remarkable that the presidential aide who should be packing his bags is instead sitting in White House meetings about stacking the Supreme Court with rigid ideologues. The last thing America needs—and the last thing we will tolerate—is Rove-style tactics in the critical decisions our nation is about to make about the shape of the Supreme Court.

America replies:  “Actually, Senator, the last thing we need is you speaking for us.  Which, I should have thought we made that clear back in November…”

A spokesman for Senator Kerry then added:

Besides, do you have any idea what video tapes Albert Gonzales has rented in the past 10 years, or what his Tivo viewing history is like?

I mean, seriously, you know, we have concerns.  And these important issues are ones that need to be brought to the attention of the American public.

Sen. Kerry, could you please define “Rove-style tactic”?

  7. Mac Buckets says:

Leave in to Senator Nonsequiter to try to link Plame and the Supreme Court via Rove.  I always thought that you had to be demented to appreciate his rhetoric.  Also, on Ecstasy.

It was only a matter of time before this particular line of “reasoning” came out.  And thus, the first shot has been fired.

  9. McGehee says:

And thus, the first shot has been fired.

Indeed. And it appears Sen. Kerry’s popgun is shooting blanks.

(Spam word: prostate. I totally didn’t mean any such reference!)
