Thanks, Jeff.  At least now I know it’s not about home improvement.

  2. Ken J says:

Thanks for ruining it for me.

  3. Beck says:

Great movie.  Much better than the concurrently released The Grudge.

  4. mojo says:

“The Grudge” is yet another rip-off-the-japs extravaganza, a la “The Ring”…

  5. Kuz says:

True, but The Ring 2 is being directed by the original Japanese director of the movie on which The Ring is based.  I hope that’s a good thing.

  6. Lyndsey says:

The Ring, rip-off or not, was stylistically more interesting than any horror film I’d seen in a long time. Scared the bejeezus outta me, but that’s what I get for watching it at home all alone!

My anti-spam word is “hell”–how does it do that?

  7. Mine was ‘mother’.  Eerie.

  8. Seth says:

    Best review yet.

And yes Lyndsey, I thought The Ring was pretty damn creepy. Good style and a gorgeous look, too. It actually seems to help when you have low expectations going into a film (as I did, and was pleasantly surprised).

    Anti spam word: “before”. Frightening!
