So, is CBS still standing by the authenticity of the phot, or have they fallen back to “fake, but accurate?”

Easily my favorite part of the piece:

After taking several crash language courses at the Army facility in Monterrey, I could speak all the major tongues. Monchichi. Teddy Bear. Cabbage Patch. Smurf.

It’s a good thing he was made in China and not Japan; he probably had a tough enough time with all the “la, la, la la la la”s in Smurf anyway.

My favorite part? Finally seeing someone lump the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, worthless piece of rumpwipe that it is, used in the same breath as the NY Times and CBS. After all, the Strib proves on a regular basis that Midwesterners can indeed be just as blindly moronic as all the fancy schmancy coastal types.

Sweetie, I can’t find your e-mail address, so I’ll have to do this in front of God and everyone: it’s Anne Frank.

But you can always delete this later.

    Fixed.

Google “Ann Frank” and the first link is to her Diary. I didn’t explore further.

    Stupid Google.

Over at the Democratic Underground, one of the commenters (#81) remarked, “It’s probably a toy gun as well.”

No, dude, it’s a real gun. It’s just very, very small …
