Curiouser and Curiouser

Maybe the birthers are actually on to something. And maybe we’ve been looking at Obama’s agenda all wrong: perhaps he was born in some socially democratic European country somewhere, and his entire stint in office has been an idealized and nostalgic attempt to recapture the romanticism of his actual homeland.

I’m joking, naturally. Occam’s razor suggests that it’s far more likely he’s just an arrogant elitist douche who believes himself qualified to “fundamentally transform” the greatest nation ever conceived so that it aligns with the academic socialism upon which he was suckled, and to which his faculty lounge-ego is so inextricably linked.

— Although I do admit the possibility that he’s an arrogant elitist douche who believes himself qualified to “fundamentally transform” the greatest nation ever conceived so that it aligns with the academic socialism upon which he was suckled, and to which his faculty lounge ego is so inextricably linked who also just happened to be born outside the US.

With this dude, nothing so arbitrary and potentially oppressive as a man-made Constitution or the rule of law applies. He is, after all, historic.

As Thomas Sowell put it so succinctly in his famous book title:

    “The Vision of the Anointed”
Self-Congratulation as a Basis for Social Policy”

One great remaining question is what is his quality that led so many to stroke his ego? I see nuttin’.

Except that clean and articulate thing.

    Cordially..

Superman was an illegal alien too. The difference being Superman (used to) stood for truth, justice and the American Way.

Obama is not from Kenya, he is from the virtual land of Libtard. Libtard can be anywhere you want it to be.

Hey! Everything worked out in theory when we had that bull session back at Columbia University! We just need a better class of people to run things for, ones that appreciate what we’re doing and don’t do all of that icky NASCAR stuff.

“Except that clean and articulate thing.”

Give credit where it’s due – that’s TOTUS, he’s the one with the way with words.

Even the staunchest of Bush admirers never thought the sun shone out of Bush’s ass.

Can’t say the same for Obama minions.

Bush was not a god. Obama is.

While conceding that I just saw the article and haven’t given it a moment’s thought, it amuses me that our Douchebag-In-Chief is attempting to intercede on the Texas execution of a murderous cholo who has been here illegally since age two. Yeah yeah. He’s just an undocumented immigrant when it comes to everything else, but at justice getting time, he’s a poor lost wetback in a strange country illegally and killing the fucker will provoke an international incident. Or something.

As a conservative Republican, it was interesting to see how my side is perceived from across No Mans’ Land. The power and unmitigated evil of the forces they are opposing is taken as fact. As far as the activist Democrats are concerned, they are up against something vast and terrible and cunning and well organized and well funded. I have personally seen no evidence that any of this is true, but they clearly believe it. A special bête noire is Fox News, which came up several times. Someone commented that Fox News and the Republicans have somehow “defined the issues” and are misleading people into disliking the President. There were also comments that the Republicans are “holding the economy hostage” and want to see the economy ruined so they can take power. The power of Fox News and of the Republicans to control the mind of the American people and attempt to destroy the place is apparently far beyond what I naively imagine it to be.

    I say he’s a Keynsian.

May you live under a Historic President.

    Sorry! an Historic President.

Newrouter: Based on the generalized incompetence, arrogance, self-serving cupidity, and stupidity I see every day coming form the Republican party hacks, I have difficulty beliving that they are capable of running a conspiracy to sell lemonade without getting a city permit, let alone impact the economy by some sort of coherent coordinated action!

Reminds me of an old joke: A Jewish fellow from a village came across a Jew from another village reading an antisemitic newspaper. “Why are you reading that trash?” asks the first. “Because,” answers the second, “I like to read about how powerful we are.”

Call me paranoid, but I don’t think it’s unreasonable to fear Certain Elements getting as worked up about proving they’re more powerful by following the same path the Most Progressive Government Ever followed. There does seem to be a lot of people working themselves into a frenzy of anger, and practicing some of the lesser arts of the Angry Mob.

I wonder if President Obama’s interest in the Mexican prisoner has anything to do with this:

    http://www.foxnews.com/world/2011/07/05/mexican-lawmakers-want-extradition-for-us-officials-responsible-for-botched/

(Some politicians in Mexico saying they should try the ATF criminals there. Saying that mostly for effect, it would seem, but still…)

War with Mexico would be pretty historic…
