Blogger Reads Mincing, Porcine Spending Bill [Dan Collins]

that Congresspeople won’t.

Sometimes, I wish I could believe in AGW.

  1. Techie says:

Obama is about one rhetorical leap away from declaring opposition to the Spendulus Bill “unpatriotic”.

  2. Techie says:

He may play on our fears, but these are desperate times. In fact, it’s an emergency. The normal rules no longer apply. We must be sure that no good crisis goes wasted.

    Yeah Baby! Come to Daddy!
Now THATS what I’m TALKIN’ ABOUT!

For those who’ve been expressing their worries that the stimulus bill and his cabinet appointments indicate that Teh One is incompetent, consider his agenda. Would you be happier if he were competent?

At this rate, I’m guessing that most of the MSM will figure out in the next couple weeks that they’ve been pwned. Then Michelle won’t be the only ugly thing chewing the Obamessiah’s behind. I think I’ll make a double batch of popcorn for this one.

Why do the Republicans hate America?

Why do they want it to fail?

I dunno, why is a raven like a writing desk?

If it falls below 50%, will you suddenly believe it is a bad idea, tuberhead? Will you then be opposed to it?

You know what’s cool? Patriotism is the highest form of dissent, now.

“Insurgency, we understand perhaps a little bit more because of the Taliban,” Sessions said during a meeting yesterday with Hotline editors. “And that is that they went about systematically understanding how to disrupt and change a person’s entire processes. And these Taliban — I’m not trying to say the Republican Party is the Taliban. No, that’s not what we’re saying. I’m saying an example of how you go about [sic] is to change a person from their messaging to their operations to their frontline message. And we need to understand that insurgency may be required when the other side, the House leadership, does not follow the same commands, which we entered the game with.”
-Rep. Pete Sessions (R-TX), chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee

Wow, even the head of the RNCC admits Republicans hate America.

    *giggle* Like totally whatever!

  12. thor says:

Stimulus spending sounded so delicious an idea when Bush was adding more debt than all the Presidents before him combined but now when their noses are pressed against the glass and when all they can do is bang and kick and pull on the locked door handle, the weedumpers don’t like spending.

Don’t mind me if I laugh a wee bit longer than usual at their spectacle.

  13. Techie says:

Yes, you caught us. We hate America. In fact, we loathe America. There is nothing we want to see more than America be a crippled retarded giant, begging for mercy on it’s knees. Opposing the largest spending bill in history is only the beginning of our master plan. And what are you going to do to stop it?

We’re going to rig all the election machines to spit out -R- votes, just like we did in 2006 and 2008. We’re going to ensure that Austin, TX doesn’t get that frisbee golf course. We’re going to stop Lewiston, ME from getting two dog parks. We’re going to make sure that Duluth, MN doesn’t get that $1e7 dollars worth of snow-making equipment. Instead, we’re going push TAX CUTS, keeping money dispersed throughout the economy, rather than centralizing it out for politicized distribution. We’re going to insist that we not risk hyperinflation by artificially adding almost $1e12 “dollars” into the economy.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAH Try and stop us, but you can’t because we’re so evil and we can’t be stopped. All we await is Darth Rove’s signal and we fire up the Weather Generator again. Kneel before Zod!!

  14. Yes thor, when voters were presented with a choice between a statist and a statist to succeed a statist, they voted for the statist.

    this… underneath that article…

Video – Learn How Ice Melts

    I…

    um

Jeez. We’re in big big trouble.

  16. Techie says:

Can the trolls explain how Bush’s spending was “non-stimulating” as opposed to what the Dems have in store for us?

I mean, if enormous government spending is the key to economic recovery, then they must have applauded Bush’s meager efforts compared to what The One Lightworker wants to do in his first 3 weeks.

  17. urthshu says:

C’mon – it was better than the ‘how does paint dry’ vid

  18. B Moe says:

Jeez. We’re in big big trouble.

Yup, the fucking simpletons have taken over.

  19. urthshu says:

How did Clinton get the tech bubble going if only government spending gets the economy rolling, anyway?

You guys aren’t gonna say the net in the 90s was some sorta free-wheelin’ low-tax wild west-y thing, are you? I mean, ‘cuz that’s what gets us into these spots

  20. Techie says:

Personally, I’m hoping that the budget for this thing takes into account that Democrats have this nasty habit of tax evasion. One must account for these sort of variables.

  21. B Moe says:

Can the trolls explain how Bush’s spending was “non-stimulating” as opposed to what the Dems have in store for us?

Bush was a big poopey-head and Barracky is a smarty pants, d’uh!

  22. parsnip says:

Clinton cut wasteful Defense spending, urthshu,

That war profiteer pork just goes to tax-free accounts in the Caribbean.

  23. happyfeet says:

And all I’d like to say is that I thank Baracky for making me strong to stand with it all and make me ready for it. Thank you.

  24. B Moe says:

Bet you didn’t know they could pile stupid that high, did you urthshu?

  25. Techie says:

Nothing surprises me anymore, B Moe.

I mean, its actually kinda cute, the way it goes from saying that unprecedented government spending is the salvation of the economy, to claiming that the tech bubble occurred because Clinton CUT defense spending, all in less than 10 minutes.

Its mind must be a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.

  26. urthshu says:

So, Clinton gave the ‘peace dividend’ to the techies? Huh, didn’t know that.

Sure it was wasteful, though? Seems we got our butts kicked in Somalia, then something or other happened. And that Kosovo thinger.

    Might coulda used that cash

  27. urthshu says:

um. I just think its ‘cuz lefties haven’t any sense of humor that isn’t based on the cruel or sarcastic. ‘Cuz I wrotez teh howlerz

  28. Bob Reed says:

Clinton used the excuse of the end of the cold war to drastically reduce the size of the military. That’s why our troops are so “overstretched” as the pop saying goes. If we had 10 more divisions of soldiers then units could enjoy more time between combat deployments…

And, the ACORN pork goes directly into the pockets of Obama’s brownshirts…

  29. B Moe says:

And conveniently overlooking the fact that the biggest cuts in defense spending were made possible by farming out most of the logistics and support services to Halliburton.

  30. urthshu says:

Anyway ‘snip, its good that Clinton regulated that net back in the day, otherwise it would’ve been the proverbial stone around our necks. Instead, it pretty much floated the entire economy for ~10 years.

The Blessed Crook* just needs something similar to regulate.

*Obama = ‘crooked’ in Luo! Yay!

  31. urthshu says:

No worries, Bob. The Lefties are gonna sign up in droves now. Don’t wanna be chickenhawks, y’know.

  32. Bob Reed says:

    Oh yeah

OT, but MAObama seems to be pussing out on his solemn promise to prosecute the “just war” that he was bleatingly complaing that Boooooosh! had criminally ignored; at least during the campain…

    http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalradar/2009/02/exclusive-gates.html

Oh, wait, about a week ago he was talkin’ all tough about that very same thing…

    http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5j8-Oilzv6x1z5zmP6h5r5Xd1NnWAD96289I80

Funny, the difference a week makes…

I sense the rising tide of Obama’s percieved weak pussiness by our enemies around the world…

  33. Techie says:

Osama Bin Forgotten, I guess. But, the Russians say they might want “to help”.

What do you think, thor? Got any vignettes about Russians in Afghanistan you’d like to share with the class?

  34. urthshu says:

    I think the Israelis undertand

  35. B Moe says:

Defense Secretary Robert Gates has deferred a much-anticipated decision on sending additional troops into Afghanistan until President Obama decides what force levels he wants.

God I hope that is just shitty reporting.

  36. dantealiegri says:

    “Based on a model, predict”

Maybe if we give then $800B to enviornmental scientists, they’ll shut the hell up and everyone else can get some work done?

    Nah.

  37. Techie says:

    Testing.

  38. Rob Crawford says:

Maybe if we give then $800B to enviornmental scientists, they’ll shut the hell up and everyone else can get some work done?

Depends. If we stuff it down their throats I bet they’ll be quiet.

  39. dantealiegri says:

I should make an environmental model that shows if everyone gives me their money, all AGW err climate change will end.

    The data doesn’t lie, people!

  40. JohnAnnArbor says:

Hey, a billion for nuclear weapons. So that part’s OK.

  41. Techie says:

See, I can’t separate the logic behind this Spendulus and raising the minimum wage. If people are going to be so much better off with a $1.50 increase, why not increase it $10?

Why are we stopping at $1e12? Why not 2x that, or 5x that? Think of all the economic stimulus you could get by spending $5,000,000,000,000. What’s the upper limit, when the Bureau of Engraving and Printing catches fire? When we’ve written a check for 1 million dollars to every man, woman and child in the country?

  42. Dan Collins says:

It would make sense to make it as high as possible, given that multiplier effect.

  43. Rob Crawford says:

Hey, a billion for nuclear weapons. So that part’s OK.

Is that for new ones or to disassemble our current arsenal?

  44. JohnAnnArbor says:

You have a point, Rob. I assumed it was for maintenance, which is harder and harder since we can’t test for reliability any more.

  45. Carin says:

Clinton cut wasteful Defense spending, urthshu,

That war profiteer pork just goes to tax-free accounts in the Caribbean.

You mean, like George Soros’s accounts? You actually does have offshore accounts to handle is $$. You can a name and a link for that accusation?

  46. Carin says:

Why are we spending any money on environmental modeling? Haven’t they got all their models? Don’t they work? I mean, they’ve acted as if they have, right?

  47. Rusty says:

On the link thingy, off to the side, it says that Barak Obama’s IQ is 121. I think I see the problem right there.

  48. Pablo says:

And all I’d like to say is that I thank Baracky for making me strong to stand with it all and make me ready for it.

‘feets, God never gives you more than you can handle. Yet.

  49. Squid says:

What’s the upper limit, when the Bureau of Engraving and Printing catches fire? When we’ve written a check for 1 million dollars to every man, woman and child in the country?

I think Zimbabwe shows us that the only limit is the number of zeroes you can fit on a bank note.

I’m so glad our new overlords picked this as their example to follow.

  50. thor says:

Looks like after 20+ years Squid is beginning to understand Reagonomics.

  51. Rusty says:

    It’s obvious you don’t.
