“Mainstreaming corruption”

— Or, “It Ain’t Against the Law if a Majority Says It Ain’t.” Call it civil disobedience. Or, if you prefer, electoral nullification.

It’s a Democrat thing. You wouldn’t understand.

(h/t Aldo)

I’d call it unbelievable but I don’t like to lie.

  2. Asides says:

Who Would Buy a Used Car from That Campaign?…

I'd call this unbelievable but it really isn't. H/t Jeff G.

  3. JD says:

    Their hypocrisy knows no bounds.

I can guarantee this, there will be no investigation into this ongoing series of frauds, and if there is, it will be so long after the election that Baracky will pay a fine and move on as though nothing ever happened. If you think September was bad, wait until you see what they do in October.

  4. Judd says:

    Ends, means, and all that.

  5. happyfeet says:

Baracky Chavez is corrupt. He and his media both. It was baracky’s style of corrupt socialism what fucked up Iraq so bad in the first place. Many other places too but Iraq especially. Do you think that’s ironic? I think that’s definitely ironic.

  6. Carin says:

Posting something similar the other day, this was the response I got:

Obama supporters probably should take a look at Obama’s campaign contributions. But, you know what… they probably won’t. Because they are too busy being appalled at McCain and his Republican supporters being so hateful with their racial attacks. You and the rest of the anti-Obama blogosphere have helped Obama more than you’ll ever know with the ridiculous “terrorist” connections and hate-speak. You’ve managed to steer the campaigns in a racial-hate direction against your own best interests. Keep it up!

    Teh Racism! It’s a catch-all response.

  7. maggie katzen says:

please, O! just doesn’t want to risk disenfranchising any donors. and checking names and addresses would take a while.

  8. happyfeet says:

I think that’s part of why commenting is down. Baracky is so obviously an appallingly corrupt socialist that there’s not much to say. This isn’t politics it’s a usurpation of politics. I’m not sure what you say when that happens exactly.

  9. Dash Rendar says:

What you say mostly has a lot of fuck in it.

  10. happyfeet says:

    oh. I’ll work on that.

  11. Cowboy says:

As both sides continue to polarize, the only thing that could bring a sense of reason to this campaign would be an objective mass media that could be trusted to deliver facts and therefore move voters from one side of the spectrum to the other based on sober evaluation.

I can’t see how this can possibly get better before it gets a lot worse.

  12. Cowboy says:

OT, sorry, but I’m in San Antonio for four days and have never been here. Any suggestions for things I should see or do? I’m pretty reliant on walking and am at the RiverCenter Marriott.

  13. Sdferr says:

My experience has been that when language fails people get violent. Which unfortunately nestles quite well into your notation of the irony inherent in Baracky’s resemblance to Saddam as socialist and Iraq as the result.

  14. happyfeet says:

oh. Do Durty Nelly’s on the Riverwalk tonight.

  15. SarahW says:

My friends don’t believe me about Baracky. I feel sad.

  16. urthshu says:

    >>I think that’s part of why commenting is down. Baracky is so obviously an appallingly corrupt socialist that there’s not much to say.

Seriously, I think people are beginning to be afraid of saying what they want to say.

  17. Rob Crawford says:

My experience has been that when language fails people get violent.

Which doesn’t bode well for the country, given that the left has made it clear they have no interest in talking to those who are, in the end, just their political opponents.

  18. Sdferr says:

Sad to say Rob. Seems to me that the choice was made when they chose their will to power over the Constitution, they (and the rest of us) just may not have understood it that way then. Some things just take time to be revealed.

  19. Cowboy says:

Do Durty Nelly’s on the Riverwalk tonight.

Thanks, ‘feet, I’ll do just that.

  20. urthshu says:

Well, there’s plenty of good crypto out there.

  21. JD says:

Rules are not for Baracky and his campaign. They will sort out all of the illegalities later.

  22. happyfeet says:

Tell me how it goes. I had the best New Years of my life so far there once. It’s good to have a couple margaritas before you get there.

  23. Squid says:

It’s been said that when you mercilessly mock and disrespect people who respectfully disagree with you, and fervently lick the asses of people who hate you enough to do violence against you and your family, you wind up incentivizing a lot of people to hate you and do violence against you and your family.

I don’t encourage anyone to utilize this communication method, but I sure wish people would examine the incentive structures they’ve been erecting.

  24. Aldo says:

They told me that Obama would create a new type of politics. They sure didn’t lie. Why couldn’t any “journalist” in the MSM do the investigation that a Powerline commenter did in order to unearth this story?

  25. nawoods says:

Anyone around with the language chops to search for foreign language sites giving directions on where to go, and how to donate to Barack once there? Or hell, I guess we could look for english sites and message boards as well. If this was a deliberate attempt to circumvent the law in this “hidden in plain sight” manner, it seems to me somoeone would want to spread the word somehow /coughASTROTURFcough/.

  26. Dan Are says:

“..commenting is down. Baracky is so obviously an appallingly corrupt socialist that..”

Seriously, I think people are “beginning to be afraid of saying what they want to say.”

Just came from Drudge-maybe the house getting shot up, or having “B” carved on your face over McCain signs, is causing a bit of speech dampening…?

  27. EW says:

i don’t think i fully understand the electoral college thing. Well i take that back, i understand how it was intended to work but does it really work anymore? Would electoral nullification, as it’s being said. The only good think is that it doesn’t seem like the crazy right or the liberal illuminati own this electoral nullification. I guess that’s a good thing.

  28. lee says:

EW, if you did away with the electoral college, all the western states would succeed from the union.

    It’s called a representative democracy.

  29. Spies, Brigands, and Pirates says:

Cowboy, I’ve never been there either. If I were there at this time, though, I’d try to visit the Alamo and do a little thinking.

  30. Cowboy says:

    Good call, SBP.

  31. Bob Reed says:

S’funny, you know, that Harry Reid wouldn’t take action to make sure that the FEC was fully staffed for this election year…

So now, even if fraud is staring them in the face, like with O!s money machine, they can’t take action until after the election…

It’s also funny that Mav’s campaign, as web challenged as the narrative tells me it is, seems to publish information on all their donors; including those donating less than 200 dollars, even though the law says they don’t have to…

But O!, they don’t need have to do the same for their record setting, already proven suspect, money machine…

All this from the candidate with the most character and integrity, with the most honest, ethical, transparent campaign apparatus-EVAH!

    O!

  32. JD says:

This will all be swept down the memory hole.

  33. SDN says:

Actually, Rob, I gave up trying to talk to the left several years ago. Why? No logic or facts will sway them, and they have no better natures to appeal to. My only real question is how much longer it will be before even the most comfortable cocooned Americans realize that the Copperheads want to kill them, and will, unless resisted.
