Though I still maintain that the guys should have been smarter (not to mention a little more mature, but that’s another story) than to hire a stripper in the first place (they’re not known for upstanding and honest citizenship), this news absolutely made my day. Can’t wait to see these guilty-till-proven-innocent hypocrites get every bit of the lesson they deserve handed to them on a platter.
Too bad they can’t have _their_ names slandered and dragged, one by one, through the mud on national media for however many months the boys went through it.
I’d really prefer they be suing the “Group of 88” and the student ringleaders of the protest/lynch mob. Their pockets aren’t nearly as deep, but their culpability is even greater than that of the administration.
(Actually, suing someone is declasse, but the “law” (snort) prohibits a solid asskicking, which is what is truly called for.)
We need 88 talk radio hosts, one monitoring each class taught by the group of 88 and each holding a switch completing a circuit between a car battery and the Group of 88s tender parts.
In the meantime, I’ve been sort of casually listening to CNN blaring throughout the waiting area and good f**king god is that channel pure evil. For awhile, I had to listen to how the poor dear lacrosse players at Duke are being persecuted just because they held someone down and f**ked her against her willâ€â€not rape, of course, because the charges have been thrown out. Can’t a few white boys sexually assault a black woman anymore without people getting all wound up about it? So unfair.
And this one:

Yes, how dare a rape victim act confused and bewildered like she was raped or something.

Natalia, do you know the details of the case? If so, why do you think a women enthusiastically jumped into a sexual situation with men making slavery jokes at her? Furthermore, what is your theory on why she supposedly looooooved having sex with guys holding her facedown on the bathroom floor? There’s no “if†they behaved in a disrespectful manner. We have conclusive evidence that happened.
This is about race and class and gender in every way, and there’s basically no way this woman was going to see justice. In her part of the country, both women and black people are seen as subhuman objects to be used and abused by white men.
Why isn’t there greater public scorn and humiliation for The Gang ? Anyone know how to game Google so if anyone ever googles any of these asspirates names, the first 100 links are to something vile and repulsive, like them?
THis story warmed the cockles of my heart, too. I’d like to see the fancy furnishings of Brodhead’s office replaced with dorm furniture to pay these kids.
Slarti – He is a Hillary assclown, so he is likely in mourning. But, knowing caricature, I would be willing to bet that he is writing about how Sen. McCain is some hypermasculine war hero, the embodiment of all of the conservative faux-ideals, and probably is trying to rip Republicans for a non-affair, and non-scandal reported on by the NY Times.
God, but I detest academic proggs. When your worldview is based on nothing more solid than mutual self-congratulation, with no one to say thee nay, you turn into a bunch of little stalins.
In all fairness, Vicki Iseman, the lobbyist that McCain was allegedly strapping, IS pretty hot looking… Beats the hell out of Bill Clinton’s choice in squeezes by a long shot..

I would name every single one of the Gang of 88 individually, and as acting in their role as an employee of Duke.
Look up “joint and severable liability”, guys.
How about a friendly game of, I don’t know, say…lacrosse with the good professors as a compromise?
Cue hysterical Pandagon screed in 5…4…3…2…
Also, Hippies cannot stand Death Metal. They should have Slayer’s Reign in Blood handy…just in case…

I like to think of it as “The Fairness Doctrine”
It’s a shame they can’t sue Amanda.
Or Nancy Grace.

Good times, good times ….
Yikes. Well, it’s pretty clear what’s going on in your part of the cuntry, Amanda.
Probed without so much as the common courtesy of a reach around.

Wonder what Professor Caricature is writing about, today?

The business end of that Hippie Core should be slathered with Cream of Wheat. Dontcha think?

If he didn’t do her, he should have…
(Just my two cents)
