The blogworld lost Allan Kelly on Friday, 58, and Steve Gilliard (at the ripe old age of 41). Maybe, in Heaven, they are chucking back a couple of brews together and wishing they hadn’t been on opposite sides of the fence for so long.

Politics aside, it’s a sad day for the community of political bloggers when we lose two of our familiar voices.
My heartfelt condolences go out to the family and friends of both gentlemen.
Steve was bigger than life, which is why he’s not around anymore.
Because it’s all about me, I see someone dying at 41, and me turning 43 in less than a week, and it makes me ponder.
I think a Guiness will help. Toodles!
Never read Allen much, but I locked horns with Steve any number of times. The ‘sphere has certainly lost an interesting voice.
My condolences to the Gilliard family. And for the record, I blame Ned Lamont.
