…to make a “progressive” omelet.
Which gives me an idea: Bush simply needs to go on TV and re-frame the Iraq War as a “protest” against “the Ba’athist / al Qaeda / Iranian Man,” and before too long, thousands of papier-mâché puppet heads will be reporting for surge duty. All the DoD need do is arm the “protesters” with country-style barbecued pork ribs or eggs blessed by Jews, and voila! Time to light up a victory blunt and ask that cute chick from Boulder if she’d like to give you a hand in getting your pocket protest warrior to stand at attention.
Wasn’t it Huey Long that said when fascism comes to America, it will be called anti-fascism?
Aw, he just hadn’t met Rosie…
I’d show up to throw AIDS diet chews at Rosie. I don’t want to be an enabler.
Anyone know why they went out of business?
If he didn’t, someone should have.
Intentional typo?
Look, an uprising! Embrace it, baby!
I realize that the whole point of a witch-hunt is the invention of a witch, but I don’t understand where the fixation on Rove, personally, came from. Dude’s nobody. He’s the fucking bus-boy at Chez(ney) Chimpler.
I know, it doesn’t matter. But still. Shoot the damn President, if you think you should. Why fuck with this random guy? He a Jew or something?
(tw: may68. You’re funny, machine.)
Because they cannot accept that Bush has any intelligence of his own, college career and fighter pilot training not-withstanding. So, since he has frequently outsmarted his opponents, the brains required to do that must come from someone else.
Rove’s his political adviser, so clearly he’s the brains behind the throne.
Or something like that. Basically, it’s part of the over-arching fantasy world they’ve built.
Boz,
It SOP for the progressives, for some reason they fixate on person within any Republican Administration & pick on that person. Who can forget the “Ed Meese is a Pig” signs that littered Washington, LA & SF?
The fascination with demonizing Dick Cheney is equally vapid. Cheney has a very long and distinguished career and the inventions of the nutbars about him are truly ludicrous.
