…to John Dodds for “The Outer Limits” Season 2 DVD. Awesome show. The original, I mean. The remake? Not so much. Thanks, too, to Todd Day for the Casino Royale DVD. My wife and I watched it last night and are split on Daniel Craig as Bond. I liked him. She—at least initially—misses the flaccid smoothness of Pierce Brosnan. But I suspect that will pass.
Also, thanks to those of you who contributed during my recent fundraiser. I’ll be sending out personal emails when I get my email accounts straight, but in the meantime, please do know that I am truly grateful and consider myself blessed to have such wonderful readers.
Not as blessed as Captain Ed, of course. But still.

I kid!
My wife is begging me to stay home today, because of the roads, so I’m affecting the Cowboy attitude. “I hav’ta go. You stay here an’ take care o’ th’ young-uns. Everything’ll be awlright.”

Did that Season of OL have the one with the Zantis?
I really liked Craig as Bond. the movie annoyed me. After seeing it again Tuesday it seemed less annoying. RTO loved it and he’s a bit more familiar with the source material.
Yeah, ol’ Harlan wrote the shit outa some of the season 2 shows. “Soldier” and “Demon With A Glass Hand” in particular.
Then there’s the awesomely excellent 2-parter, “The Inheritors”…
All in all, about the best season of OL.
Craig: “The Zanti Misfits” is on the season 1 collection.
That sucker freaked my sister right out whwn it first aired. She had the old man checking under her bed for years…
Sir, please forgive me; I’m in a catch-22 on my properties and cannot contribute att.
Been reading you almost daily for years, now. Shame on me…
Loved “Casino Royale”. Fairly faithful to the original story and blessedly free of the gimmicks, gadgets, and gags that have plagued the series since “Goldfinger”. I was one of those who thought no one could ever replace Connery, but Craig does nicely.
