Treacher Sighting [Dan Collins]

At something called the Daily Gut.  Looks interesting.

A taste:

INSTAPUNDIT SAYS HILLARY IS ELECTABLE

Here. Therefore, I think so too! That’s how it works, or so I’m told by people who devote a lot of time and energy to disliking Glenn Reynolds. (It’s a cottage industry!) Because all bloggers you don’t agree with must agree with each other 100% of the time, right?

Ha Ha!  Poor guy.

. . . . .

Hey, is that a part of Jeff’s ass that I forgot to kiss so that he’d let me continue posting?

(h/t some guy named Glenn Reynolds)

This is also a cool site, dedicated to exposing Gnomophobia.

And thanks to commenter Allah Carte for the heads up on Greg Gutfeld’s piece that asks “Are you a patriotic terrorist?” at the HuffPo, with predictably delectable results.

  1. Nah.  I’m pretty sure you’ve got it covered.

  2. Allah Carte says:

Also, don’t miss the latest by Greg Gutfeld at Huffpo.  It’s like someone set a zoo on fire over there…..

    Patriotic Terrorists (ie the left)

    TW: head54 cases…..

  3. Bill D. Cat says:

The comments are priceless at huffpo .

  4. BJTexs says:

    Bill D:

I counted at least 6 chickenhawk references on the first page alone. Ya gots to love a group of commentators that can’t come up with anything better than “march yourself down to the recruiting office.”

  5. Bill D. Cat says:

Can’t wait for the Patriotic Terrorist blast to get used , here in the comments .

  6. BJTexs says:

    RELEASE THE HOUNDS!!

    heh

That gets saved for the utter clueless (alphie, michelle) or the screechers (david, beetroot.)

  7. Read that this morning, Hysterical.  What’d you vote for?

  8. Jim in KC says:

Gutfeld’s bio page on HuffPo is a secret hidden blog, as well.

  9. Chainsaw Tango says:

Clintonistas Uniting for a New Tomorrow.

    It’s an instant bumpersticker classic

  10. kyle says:

I’d vote for Treacher in a heartbeat.  His SOTU address would be comedy gold!  The guy’s just plain funny.

  11. Its days like today I realize how much I miss the days when he blogged regularly.  I was just thinking that the other day about Goldstein and VIOLA!  (Don’t correct me you French bastards.)

  12. Jim Treacher says:

Its days like today I realize how much I miss the days when he blogged regularly.

Who, me? I’m over here all the time. Stop on by!

  13. Jessica Biel is single?  Whew, that’s a relief.  For a moment there, I was worried I wouldn’t get to sleep with her..

    What are you looking at?

  14. Bill D. Cat says:

    Filthy Scandi propagandist .

  15. BJTexs says:

    This is utterly off topic, but Dan’s post is almost by nature off topic so here goes;

Do you see any resemblence in the following

    1) Alphie

don’t think the insurgents have broken a sweat yet.  They are operating on 1/1000th the budget America’s military is operating on.  They can easily match anything we do in Baghdad or the rest of Iraq.

They managed to bring down a helicopter with three U.S. Army colonels on board this week:

    http://www.defenselink.mil/Releases/Release.aspx?ReleaseID=10435

Quite a blow to our command structure.

If we’d killed three insurgent “colonels” in one shot…Bush would hold a press conference to trumpet it, and the MSM would print the story with banner headlines…

    2) Neville Chamberlain from Patterico

Old Neville wasn’t really such a bad chap, JD.

After all, Britain never fell to the Nazis…

If there really is a Sgt. Hussein, then CENTCOM looks bad either way in this.

If they knew and didn’t tell, then they are guilty of “truthiness.”

If they didn’t know…well, the Iraqi Police are completely their creature and they would seem to have very little control of it now…

Guess we may never know the truth in this matter.

    3) A certain simian:

No doubt that was after WWII, maggie.

Not to spoil the fantasy, but it was the Soviets who crushed the Nazis.

America showed up at the end to lend a hand, though…mark it down as an assist.

Neville is alphie’s name at Patterico but the other one…

Believe it or not!!! Darleen is just as suspicious as I am.

  16. Dan Collins says:

Hmmmm.  That’s some good digging, BJ.  I’m kind of interested in finding out why timmyb dislikes me so much, too.  And Swansboro’s reemerged here with a new monicker, as well.

  17. Someone has to fight this new wave of anti-Scandi propaganda.  We’re people, too.  Walrus-humping, lutefisk sniffing, mashed-peas eating people, yes.  But people none-the-less.

  18. BJTexs says:

It was the WWII references. Darleen agreed that they were just too similar (and, come on, Neville Chamberlain?)

In case you haven’t noticed, TimmyB appears to be a split personality, given to flying off the handle when he continues to get challenged. He can be civil. He has also ripped into other people, including Me and RTO.

Swansboro I’m not familiar with. I’ve only been doing this insanity since August of ‘06.

Now it is my little crack habit…

  19. timmyb says:

    I ripped into you?

BJ, just for the fun of it, could you estimate the number of times I have been told to fuck something since I started posting here?  Don’t get wrong.  Some people are bound to not like you when you are the contrarian and tell you to fuck off, but, given the number of people who fly off the hook at me, I think I control my own pitiful temper okay.

At least that’s my opinion and, if you don’t agree, you can fuck off!

    See that was clever….or not

  20. The Lost Dog says:

Believe it or not!!! Darleen is just as suspicious as I am.

You know, if Darleen was Darlene, T Graham Brown might have done a song about her.

And TimmyB. If you could just be “TimB”, people probably wouldn’t get half as pissed off as they do at you.

  21. The Lost Dog says:

    Greg Gutfield. Poifect!

I can’t believe that the neww Zsa Zsa didn’t stuff this post.

  22. George S. "Butch" Patton (Mrs.) says:

“march yourself down to the recruiting office and get yerself a rifle.”

Is this advice a sensible leftist wants to giving a right-winger?

By the way, to save time,PFC to CPT, 11B, 11C and 54K, so don’t waste the chickenhawk crap on me.

  23. Pablo says:

    BJ, another data point:

I don’t think you can give up your phony WWII analogy, wish.

Without the ability to cite one fluke, where America showed up very late to the party and got to topple a couple of teetering empires for very little cost…

…all you’ve got are a bunch of historical examples that show how wrong you guys are.

Pay no attention to the entire history of humanity!

Look instead at this one example that, when twisted and distorted and viewed in just the right light…makes it looks like we may have a one in a hundred chance of being not totally wrong!

    Stay the course!

alphie = monkyboy? Or perhaps not. You can’t rule out the hive mind.

  24. BJTexs says:

    Pablo:

That was the one that I was looking for! while the assimilators may be at work I still find the style and substance groaningly familiar.

    Resurrect the Balloon Fence!

TimmyB: chill! We’ve all been ripped and, granted, you’ll be ripped more than most. Stop taking it so personally and don’t invite the vitriol by being condesending and taking cheap shots.

  25. guinsPen says:

just for the fun of it, could you estimate the number of times I have been told to fuck something since I started posting here?

    2,327.

    Do I win anything?

  26. McGehee says:

For the record, as a rule I am against telling trolls to fuck anything.

As a rule I’m against anything that poses a risk that they’ll reproduce.
