Ahmadinejad at the Kosher Deli [Dan Collins]

Try the Holy Infant!  So tender and mild!

(Yes, I denounce it.  And renounce it.  Also repudiate.  But, unfortunately, I think it’s teh funny, and that’s justification enough.)

It’s funny because it’s so outrageous and yet has the sting of truth.

It’s not as if you’re accusing him of a sentiment beyond his actual feelings.

As a high school teacher, I’ve been know to say, “I love elementary school kids–especially with salt and vinegar.”

  2. Tai Chi Wawa says:

Ahmadinejad has the heart of a young boy —

which he keeps in a jar on his desk.

  3. McGehee says:

Has anyone else noticed that the “kids menu” isn’t what it claims to be?

  4. ahem says:

C’mon, stop kidding. You should try the holy infant. It’s great with swiss cheese on black bread and a kosher pickle.

  5. steveaz says:

Dan, since you’re buying, and because its not very often that we get all these hungry Imams around the same table…

I think I’ll have the Green-Helmet Special, please.  I’d like a rump cut, and…are you sure the meat is aged at least a month?

    Good.

Can you put the cheese sauce on the side though, please.  I like to dribble it by myself.

Huh?  Oh.  Medium rare, with lots of rind.

All seriousness aside, don’t you think this stuff derails the popular rejection of the current clerical leadership?  I mean, what could be better than opening a second front that has proven to hurt the general population more than the targeted tyrant?

  7. RC says:

Sure Miss Cleo, let a rogue dictator or regime continue to kill thier own people and the peoples of other countrys because they hold their own population hostage.

By this metric tyrants will rule the world in no time, and guess what, not a single one of them will offer to exempt YOU from their tyranny

    Putz.

  8. Phil Smith says:

    It’s great with swiss cheese

Not in a kosher deli, it ain’t.

  9. Dan Collins says:

I think that among the principal reasons that the Iranians are turning against the Islamists is that they’re concerned about the consequences to them of the dangerous games that they’re playing.  This demonstrates the limitations of their idea of a sphere of influence, and sends a message that actually underscores the truth behind their anxieties.

  10. ahem says:

Phil: Oh, you’re absolutely right. How about the Holy Infant/Pastrami combo instead?

  11. mishu says:

Is the holy infant swine or ape meat? If the former, eating him wouldn’t be so kosher.

  12. BoZ says:

Wait. I don’t get it. Is that him talking?

Ahmadinejad works at the deli, talking like Jackie Mason—? Why did they hire him?

Or he shows up at the deli, asks about the specials, and this Lenny Bruce voice recommends the Jesuswich—? Why are they selling that?

You have to St. Elsewhere the joke and pretend it’s Ahmadinejad’s Dream Deli to make sense of it.

How can this be?! a dead baby Jesus joke that isn’t funny?!

(Mounts stage at Mo’s Funny Hut in the Persian Catskills, clears throat.)

Wiping the blood stains off of your Magi suit!

One baby Jesus nailed to ten crosses!

You shove frankincense down its throat and myrrh up its butt!

Two scoops of ice cream, one scoop of baby Jesus!

Mary didn’t die when I fucked her in the ass!

    (Runs.)

“All seriousness aside” is pretty much what I expect from cleo.

Do I think that those who believe Ahmadinejad is a tyrant will change their minds because we send another aircraft carrier to the gulf?  No.  Do I think that the people who think he’s done vis the economy, even at a time of high oil prices will change their minds because we send another aircraft carrier to the gulf?  No.

After all, when it was suggested that our enemies in Iraq escalated their attacks in part to influence the US election, moonbats dismissed it and went right on with their collective BDS.  And Iraqis still believe it was a good thing that the US deposed Saddam, even if cleo thinks it hurt Iraqis more.  But maybe that’s because Saddam intentionally slaughtered many more Iraqis than the US has killed as collateral damage.

  14. BJTexs says:

Now, Karl, you’re going to fall off of the talking points. Miss Cleo (hee, ric) will be back to bitch slap you back into the “mainstream America” fold beacuse EVERYONE KNOWS THAT IRAQ IS A DISASTER OF HISTORICAL PROPORTIONS AND I SPEAK TRUTHINESS WHEN I SAY THAT WE’LL MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE IN IRAN BECAUSE OF OUR INABILITY TO KNOW THAT WE ARE ALWAYS WRONG!

Diplomacy, Karl! Talking and nudging and cajoling and winking until, just like 1979 Iran and North Korea and Saddam 1998, after the brown people in power stop laughing at us, Iran finishes the Nuclear Arsenal and they can tell us to go screw ourselves while they attempt to dominate the Missle East. At which point, we can go cry to the UN who will, no doubt, take emphatic action like meetings and speaches and stuff while, any minute now, without any support from us, those disaffected with the clergy in Iran will continue to complain but accomplish nothing.

It’ll all be fine when the State Department and Jimmah is back in charge of ME policy making.

    *shudder*

  15. BJTexs says:

    Heh! “missle east!” Freudian slip!

  16. Jim in KC says:

    Heh! “missle east!”

Didn’t those guys have a song called Detachable Penis?

No, wait, that was King Missile.  Carry on.

  17. OK that was blasphemy and wrong but very funny anyway, and I’m a Christian wink

  18. Swen Swenson says:

Somehow, I don’t think Ahmadinejad is quite that Swift.

    I have a modest proposal
