AP Iraq Source
Looking for Police Spokesman named Jamil Hussein, willing to take credit for having been source of various stories regarding atrocities. Names similar to Jamil Hussein will be considered, as will people named Jamil Hussein who work in capacities somehow related to police forces. Job to start immediately, salary negotiable.
I thought I saw Jamil with Lucy Ramirez.
I thought I saw Lucy with Ricky Ricardo. OK, that has nothing to do with the news or the AP, but neither does Jamil Hussein.
Listen up WARMONGERS even though our ally Jamil is fake his story is still accurate.

The little people must understand in every story we produce there is a policy consideration that far out weighs the facts of the story.
We tried to get the ghost of Edward R. Murrow to come explain it, but being identified with a Georga Clooney movie has made him sort of sick to his stomach.

I compare the ubiquitous (yet nowhere to be found, apparently) Jamil Hussein to The Grapes of Wrath‘s Tom Joad; check it out at wilsonizer.blogspot.com!
Surely a more useful job offer would be for an Iraqi contact to act as a research assistant for blogs with no research capability of their own.
I can’t imagine that logic can be suppressed indefinitely in regard to this “the man we don’t have the ability to search for cannot be found” story. At some point you would have to expect one of you readers to break from the herd and figure out the formula returns the same “he doesn’t exist” result for a good 20 million other Iraqis.
What’s it been now ? Like a week since every blog following this in unison noted that the source’s name was cited as “Jamail” not “Jamil” as though this contributed to no blog being able to find this source when nobody was looking, or had the capability, to start with.
What did this blog do with that new lead ? Pass it on to your Iraqi contact to actually do some searching for someone you supposedly want to find ? Oh wait you haven’t hired him yet.
Come to think of it, this whole “Iraq” story seems to have generated some public interest and has started getting some attention in the press over the past 3 and a half years. Having a contact in Iraq you could actually go to for research assistance might be useful in more than one instance. That’s just a guess of course, and probably only useful if “Iraq” becomes a topic of interest for your readers that could generate followup stories. Like daily ones for instance.
Keep an eye on it, may turn into an important story.
Tank, if you think he’s so easy to find, why don’t you dig him up and prove us all wrong?
Actually Armed Liberal at Winds of Change does have Iraqi contacts and they have searched for Mr. Hussein…they haven’t found him. Additionally they have found that the destroyed Mosques from the AP stories weren’t, well, destroyed. Go over to his site and take a look.
Also Michelle Malkin has had several contacts with sources on the ground in Iraq…no Jamil Hussein. Take a look at her site.
Also Eason Jordan, not my favorite news person, but what they hey he’s in the blogosphere now, he has sources on the ground in Iraq as well. Guess what, they can’t find Jamil or Jamail Hussein either.
None of them can find the grave sights or the names of the burned Sunnis, either.
But then, hell neither can the AP, apparently. So the folks with resources on the ground in Iraq…Centcom, Eason Jordan, Armed Liberal, The Iraqi government can’t find Jamil Hussein.
The AP, who also has resources on the ground in Iraq, can’t produce Mr. Hussein either, or the names of the burned Sunnis or their graves or their relatives.
So it is safe to say that at this point none of the organizations with resources in Iraq, including government, media conglomerates and bloggers can produce Jamil Hussein. Occam’s razor and all that, you know?
Still its awful odd no one in the MSM wants to give this a look see. Might it have to do with their politics? Or might it have to do with the fact that Kathleen Carroll is on the board that awards the Pulitzers? who knows?
Remember, it doesn’t matter that people are actually out there searching for the guy (MMalkin), it only matters that YOU ALL aren’t out there searching.
