Before I go out and get “defeated” in a snowball fight with my kids (their word, not mine) I thought I would make my last guest post. I give you the Blizzard Edition of the News of Afghanistan.
“Lets hear from our traffic reporter in Parwan, Major John.”
“Uh, traffic sucks…”
“What?”
“Really, it has actually been sucked into the mucky strip of ground that has been alleged to be a road.”
“Oh…well, I guess that wraps up the Parwan traffic report!”
Thanks, Jeff, for the big platform to make the occassional post and to flog m’ own blog. I think we will be better served with the site returning to his exclusive control, however.
So did the Brutal Afghan Winter finally arrive?
Hey, that really is a quagmire!
When the tow truck arrived, a civil war broke out (according to Colin Powell.)
I’ll continue to check in at your site, MJ. Thanks for all of the hard work and your service.
The land of the free because of the brave.
The tow truck is there in the picture…our HMMWV! You can do great things with just a couple of tow chains.
Godspeed Major, and thank you.
yes, from me as well. You are a good, good man.
I have really appreciated your contribution. You always display a worthy and measured perspective. And thanks for the pic—it’s nice to see that somebody parks worse than I do.
Looks like the road I have to take to work on those three or four rainy days we have here in Tucson.
Thanks for the guesthosting and, you know, that service to your country bit, too.
