This guy is so effin’ clueless it makes my teeth hurt!

    Interview with Chris Matthews:

MATTHEWS:  Are you going to win?

MURTHA:  We’re going to win, we’ve got the votes.

    MATTHEWS:  You’ve got them?

    MURTHA:  We’ve got the votes.

MATTHEWS:  Eyeball to eyeball, you’ve got them?

    MURTHA:  Eyeball to eyeball.

But that is dwarfed by this howler from the un-indicted co-conspirator:

In his first interview since reportedly calling a Democratic bill on lobbying and ethics “total crap,” Rep. John Murtha told “Hardball” host Chris Matthews he meant it was “crap” to deal with ethics problems when there are more serious issues facing the nation such as the war in Iraq.

    BWAAAAAAAA HAHAHAHA

Isn’t there anyway that we can arrange a long rocket trip for him a Ted Stevens?

Living proof that “ex-marine” and “idiot” are not mutually exclusive states.

    CAPTION

Why? Because my doctor said I’ve got to clap.

  4. Jeff Goldstein says:

Bring on the Blue Dog Dems.

Sorry, Markos. Looks like the Hillary / Carville faction just won the first skirmish in the war you’ve been promising.

  5. Big Bang hunter says:

Pelosi:“….but first We have to recognize Representative Murtha for all his great contributions. Without his help we would not have been able to move America forward in the problems in Iraq …. blah…blah…blah… Murtha this, and Murtha that ect ect. …and we will work to bring benefits to ALL Americans, and not just the privaledged few. Now we should applaud all of Rep. Mrtha’s contributions. (polite applause). And now I want to introduce the new Majority leader, Representative Hoyer. the entire Democratic caucus has spoken, and nominated Rep Hoyer as the new Majority leader, and as they say in church, thats over, and now is the time for coming together. (even though I didn’t support him, and I’m going to get you , and your moderate supporters Hoyer, and your little doggie toooooooo.)

Hoyer: “….and I am proud to have been chossen by my fellow Democrats, (just sorry that my boss was too petty to pick me after all these years of supporting her, even when her idea’s were somewhere outside the orbit of mars), as Majority leader. (hopefully by the time we go into session in January I will be able to get Nancy’s knife out of my back). I look forward to working with the new speaker, in bringing our party together.”

    – You could have cut the animosity in the room with a knife. *chuckle*. Pelosi’s been in about a week, and already she got her assed kicked.

    – The first round across the bow of the hard Left, from the moderate wing of the party. Maybe the Dems are finally tiring of being led around by a ring in their nose by the nutroots. It’s a start.

When the dems were losing so badly, they looked for anyone with ideas. That included kos et al. Those ideas turned out not to work.

Kos, however, may never get over it. Oh well.

  7. mojo says:

Mad Jack looks ready to cry. Probably seeing visions of his earmarks flying out the window or something.

Nancy is being WAY too heavy-handed for her actual pull, IMNSHO.

  8. McGehee says:

Yup, these next two years are going to be fun.

  9. Mikey NTH says:

James Carville is an evil yuan-ti creature, and Markos Moulitsas is the Mentos boy.

Mentos Boy’s spleen was Carville’s new squeaky toy before Mentos Boy had strapped on his longsword +2.

  10. Big Bang hunter says:

    – Heh – apparently the moonus battus over at Kos and LiarDog are “confused” over the Hoyer result. But at least a few are already throwing Mad Jack under the bus. Sample:

What’s our message if we had him (Murtha):  “Tired of watching your congressmen go to jail. Vote Dem.  We do corruption right, we don’t get caught.”

    *smirkle*

  11. BJTexs says:

Geez, BBh, was that a hint of a clue over at the moonbattery? Will wonders never cease…

  12. Big Bang hunter says:

    – Thats what you do BJ, when you want to ardently ignore the reality, that you just lost the first round in the Kos/Carville war. Just dump yesterdays hero, particularly now that even the Dem leaderships is calling for MORE troops in Iraq. Still can’t believe how fast they just dropped their pants when they had to stand front and center. NOONE on the Left blogs are posting on that dirty little problem. Noone.

“-Yeah, about that…. See, yeah, it’s uh,well, kinda hard to explain…”

    Bush lied? Halliburton? anyone?

A little of the dark cloud which has covered my head since Black Tuesday has lifted.  To see that sack of traitorous shit handed his ass so publicly is poetic justice.  The people of the 12th district of PA didn’t have the integrity or guts to kick his criminal ass to the curb.  Let’s see what happens in the 12th now that Farmer John ain’t the busiest pork farmer in DC.  He is nothing more than an old style union boss who thinks he’s above the law.  Can Harry be next?

I saw a great quote from Congressman Mike Ross, Dem. from Arkansas today:

“Republicans didn’t lose their seats to liberal democrats. Republicans lost their seats to Blue Dog Democrats. Conservative Democrats. “

The Blue Dog Coalition officially grew by 9-10 members, giving them 45, almost a fifth of tne Dems House Majority.

Plus the new Blue Dog Dem from my hometown’s district – Heath Schuler, can always easily give any of the Socialists in the House a noogie if they try and shove any Leftist stuff past the Blue Dogs…
