  1. McGehee says:

That’s no way to talk about a former president!

    […]

Oops, I thought you said, “The whorer! The whorer!” My bad.

  2. BoZ says:

They’re setting off fireworks down the street here.

Or there’s a pitched musket battle outside the local newspaper office.

    That’d be cool.

  3. Umm says:

    The horror!  The horror!

Is that Georges-Antoine Kurtz or Howie Kurtz?

  4. Beck says:

    Mistah Kurtz, he dead.

  5. Umm says:

    Mistah Kurtz, he dead.

Is that Ben Bradlee or a 19th century Congolese servant boy?

    (Sorry man–I’ll stop now).

  6. RiverCocytus says:

I for one am glad. I’m sad for our troops, and I’m sad for our nation’s security, but I’m happy for the Republicans. It proves that you can’t sit on your ass and spend money and get re-elected.

The dem’s platform that won? ‘We aren’t the Republicans’. And when the repubs sucked as much as they did, it worked. Bonus? It will be double-easy to win next time, because if that document about the ‘Democrats plan for America’ was right, well…

I won’t be moving a to a major city in the next 2 years.

(When even a prog is criticizing the document as unsound and unsubstantive, there’s something going on.)

Of course, what MIGHT happen as a weird consequence, is that progs will realise that like us conservatives, their ‘national party’ or at least the federal component of it, is so corrupt that its pointless.

Wait 2 years, and then we’ll talk, mah lefist freinds.

    1 to beam to Enterprise!

  7. Maybe the Dems will be smart and keep the popular bits of the Contract With America like Bill Clinton did, and take credit for them, like he also did.

  8. Percy Dovetonsils says:

Remember, lads, what our “betters” have been saying over the past six years:  Dissent is the highest form of patriotism.

I’m sure they still agree with that, now that the Dems are taking the reins.
