Today, Dr. Thomas — Chair of the Harvard standing committee on commencement parts — is a supporter of both Harvard’s divestiture from Israel and Zayed Yasin’s remarkably innappropriate upcoming Harvard commencement speech, “American Jihad.”
Doc Thomas loves tacos, rainy mornings, fluffy kittens, and the music of Yusaf Islam (nee Cat Stevens, nee Steven Katz).

O tempora! O mores! My career in Classics came to an unhappy end in the 80s. I thought it one of the greatest misfortunes in my life. But from time to time, reflecting on who HAS found success in this racket, I find myself thinking: maybe I AM better off in the company of attorneys. After all, we’re only trying to screw one another, not an entire country under siege by Third World scum.
