Geez, living up to your rhetoric is a bitch; he’s been denied a travel visa to visit the US, with the State Department noting that he’d donated money to “charities” associated with Hamas. Back in 1997, he was quoted as stating:
Nevertheless, the Palestinian charity (and its 17 aliases) at the same Lille, Lyon and Paris addresses, had already been publicly identified and designated by Israel as a Hamas front organization in May 1997. Indeed, Mr. Ramadan reiterated his commitment to Hamas saying: ‘If the price to pay for this commitment is to never to tread upon American soil, I am ready to pay that without the slightest hesitation.’
Now, he’s bitching because at the time he made his donations, these “charities” were not listed as terrorist-connected at the time of his donations. The ACLU is representing him.
Who is this guy? Well, he’s the grandson of the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood, for one thing. The Wiki article is otherwise very assuaging regarding Ramadan. He’s presently ensconced in a professorship at Oxford.
