From ABC’s The Blotter:
A senior al Qaeda commander allegedly tied to the London airplane bomb plot has been arrested in Pakistan, Pakistani intelligence and law enforcement officials have told ABC News. Matiur Rehman, one of the most wanted men in Pakistan, is known to have met with the alleged plot ringleader Rashid Rauf, according to the officials.
Rehman’s capture could provide the most important leads in months to the whereabouts of Al Qaeda’s top two leaders, Osama bin Laden and Ayman al Zawahiri. Rehman was believed to be in frequent contact with Zawahiri.
Rehman was taken into custody in the southern Punjab city of Bawalpur, the same town where alleged London plot ringleader Rashid Rauf was arrested last week. ABC News saw a copy of the police report on Rehman, with an attached copy of his photo.
Pakistani officials told ABC News earlier that 29-year Rehman was known to be planning a terror spectacular to mark the fifth anniversary of the 9/ll attacks, and the London plot may have been it.
I question the timing of this report, which I think we can all agree is but a thinly-veiled homophobic hit piece on one of the last true conservatives left who is willing to question the Masonic reach of the Bushco cabal—a conspiratorial web of multicultural intrigue, if this story is to be believed, that now includes Pakistani officials, ABC news, and a senior al Qaeda commander (note: it occurs to me that he could be a CIA / MI5 plant; keep an eye on Juan Cole for breaking details!) along with MI5, the CIA, the NSA, Bushco, Blair, the British press, and, of course, the Jews (but only the evil Likudnik kind; the Kibbutzy kind with the sandals still dig peace).
All of whom greatly fear Ned Lamont’s worldwide impact, evidently. And dislike gays.

I find the thought that, at this very moment, Pakistani security officials may very well be using UN banned interrogation techniques or, gulp, torture on Mr. Rehman nardsmackingly vile. What kind of world do we live in where a brown person can’t engineer the vicous, unprovoked murder of thousands of innocents without being brutally tortured? The obvious invasion problem brought up by Rusty involves the issues surrounding being an occupying power. Being resented and embraced simultaneously. OR
2. Islamists worldwide mean what they’ve been saying – all over the world, over and over, world with or without end, amen (or not) – and we should be thankful we’ve got countless security agencies in multiple countries looking out for our worthless asses, and doing pretty well so far, but don’t count on our luck holding out forever.

Weeelll, sorta. It really depends on the mushrooms. Back in the early 70’s, I had a quarter pound block of freeze dried mushrooms that I was told were the best in the world, and could only be found in a certain part of Mexico. They cost $350, which back then was huge bucks.
I’m not sure about the origin of the story, but I have to tell you, I had about thirty people at my door every morning before 7:00 AM asking if I had anything in my freezer. Other than Psilosinn (?), I have never seen anything closer to pure (fill in the blank).
Unfortunately, I never came down.
