“There’s Condi Rice. I’m watching her. It’s a joke. They know we’re just there as a friend of Israel, and that’s how we’re seen.”

Gee, you say that like it’s a bad thing, Chris.  Perhaps we should just pretend every regime in the region is equal?  You know—do the whole “cycle of violence” dance while we stand back and assume the role of “referee” in a fight that is only really being waged by one side?  After all, that’s diplomacy—not taking sides even when your country’s entire foundational worldview dictates that you should be taking sides, and even when every one who understands liberalism knows precisely which side you are ideologically committed to take.

Which, look how well that tack of affected neutrality has served the region.

Christ.  Is it me, or does Matthews in this interview manage to make Keith Olbermann look measured and rigorous of mind?

(h/t Tom von Gremp)

100 Replies to ““There’s Condi Rice. I’m watching her. It’s a joke. They know we’re just there as a friend of Israel, and that’s how we’re seen.””

  1. McGehee says:

    your country’s entire foundational worldview

Well, that’s just it. The anti-Israel Left has a dysfunctional worldview.

Which is actually kind of appropriate, since a dysfunctional world is their idea of heaven.

  2. Neil S says:

Is it me, or does Karl Rove possess uncanny powers that slowly drive mainstream media members stark, raving mad?  I seem to recall a time when Chris Matthews was sane.

    Regards,

    Neil

  3. clarice says:

Well there are two of us, Jeff. At least TWO.

It was rumored early on in the Plame comedy shoe that Libby’s call was to complain about the anti-semitic tone of Matthews’ reports. Can’t wait for Russert to get on the stand and explain what they did talk about. If the rumors are true, I also can’t wait to see how Tim could concede that and deny that he ever discussed Wilson with Libby as it was Wilson’s lies and slanders of the neocons that Chris was megaphoning at that time.

  4. clarice says:

shoW, not shoe (sorry)Preview is for sissies.

  5. jdm says:

Heyyy! I posted a link to Chris (OK, OK, via Instapundit) in a comment earlier…

What’s a guy have to do to get PW fame?

  6. jdm says:

Hey! I posted a link to Instapundit who posted a link to Chris (radioblogger) in a comment earlier today.

What’s a guy have to do around here to get some PW fame?

    … waittaminute, don’t answer that.

  7. thelinyguy says:

No, it’s not just you Jeff. It’s shocking to me just how lazy his view of the world is, and yet how unambivalent he is in defending it. There were just so many naked assertions in there with absolutely no facts or even anecdotes to back them up. I just read the transcript and honestly it could have been one of my drugged out liberal friends from college. You almost feel too embarrassed to step in and contradict.

That people like this are rising close to the top in their professions, whether it be in journalism or the CIA for crying out loud, simply backs up a point I try to make often: people are not taught how to reason and make rational decisions. It’s just not chic enough, or something.

  8. jdm says:

A double posting with lots of whine is the answer.

    Sheesh.

This was all a bad joke gone awry… sigh.

  9. Carol Johnson says:

    Clarice –

shoW, not shoe (sorry)Preview is for sissies.

Hey…it was a “really BIG Shoe” (channeling Ed Sullivan).  I totally got it.  LOL

    Carol

  10. buzz says:

Christ.  Is it me, or does Matthews in this interview manage to make Keith Olbermann look measured and rigorous of mind?

It’s just you.  There is nothing that will do that.

  11. Jim in KC says:

That people like this are rising close to the top in their professions, whether it be in journalism or the CIA for crying out loud

are proof of the saying that “it’s not what you know, it’s who you blow.”

  12. nnivea says:

Chris Frequently In Error – But Never In Doubt Matthews.  At least can rejoice in the fact that he didn’t opt for science instead of journalism.  We’d be solving our energy issues with phlogiston.

  13. Old Dad says:

What I hope Sec. Rice communicated to our “friends.”

    1. Israel is a strategic ally. We will protect Israel at any cost.

    2. There are only three things that we need from you–stop murdering Israelis and Americans, stop working on WMD, and a secure supply of oil.

    3. If you comply with all conditions, we will buy your oil. If you do not, we will destroy you and take your oil.

    Have a nice day.

  14. The transcript really does cry out for parsing.

    Matthews:

You’ve got to be a friend of the Israel Yiddish Star.

    Sloppy, definitely.

    Ignorant, probably

    Antisemitic, arguably.

Gordobrain Matthews needs to watch one of the closing sequences from Mel Brooks’s History of the World, Part I, the “Jews in Space” one.

  15. Tai Chi Wawa says:

CONDI: Do me this favor. I won’t forget it. Ask your friends in the neighborhood about me. They’ll tell you I know how to return a favor.

  16. McGehee says:

shoW, not shoe (sorry)Preview is for sissies.

At least you’re in good companyred face

  17. Pablo says:

I wonder if Chris has ever heard of the Soviet Union, which once played a whole lot of proxy politics with its Arab client states, back in the days when we were an honest broker, a referee, back when we could just make people sit down and work things out so nicely.

  18. McGehee says:

Hey, how come the comment permalinks don’t work?

  19. MarkD says:

Two simple questions:  What are the arguments for and against, and where does the preponderance of evidence lie?

Ben Franklin used this as a decision making tool.  It’s not patented.  What do they teach in schools these days?  It can’t be reasoning, or logic, or writing any sort of thesis with evidence supporting a conclusion.

It must be witchcraft and wikipedia or something like that.

  20. Carin says:

Comment permalinks are for sissies, McGehee. Make ‘em SEARCH!

  21. mojo says:

    A Regrettable Diplomatic Faux-Pas

“Look, asswipe – we’re the GOOD guys. You know how you can tell? Because if we WEREN’T, your sandy shithole of a country would already be glassed over and well on it’s way to being a robot-only zone. You think we need to keep you pukes around to pump oil? You think we can’t find a good way to drill through 2-3 inches of green radioactive glass?”

    SB: lower

    your expectations

  22. Noah D says:

Old Dad, I might add a few more conditions to that, but that’s the kind of succinct, clear position that I’d love to hear. Not that I ever expect to, mind.

  23. AFKAF says:

It’s shocking to me just how lazy his view of the world is…

    Seriously?

You guys are shocked by this?

I’m not surprised at all.  Sadly, all too typical.

  24. Paul says:

I agree with AFKAF. Instapundit called this a meltdown, but when I read it, it just sounded like regular batshit insane Chris Matthews.

  25. Matt says:

Christ.  Is it me, or does Matthews in this interview manage to make Keith Olbermann look measured and rigorous of mind?

Cool! You finally found the red pills…

TW = now: Now, how about sharing?

  26. thelinyguy says:

I should clarify that I’m shocked that he lets it fly on the air and won’t be scorned in any meaningful way for his performance, not that his view of the world is lazy. I’m used to that, but it’s usually cloaked behind a few mitigating layers of semi-conscious shame.

I’d say that, unfortunately, more than half the world would agree with Matthew’s words. They think guys like Olbermann and Matthew’s are sagacious and brave. Fortunately, when you limit that to just the USA I’d guess it would drop below 40%, with a good chunk agreeing in principle.

  27. McGehee says:

Comment permalinks are for sissies, McGehee. Make ‘em SEARCH!

Well, hell—if it’s about imposing a burden on the context-challenged, what you do is, make the comment permalinks work, but don’t code in the links.

Yeah, that’s the ticket—i did it on purpose!

  28. Tom says:

Every regime is equal in Chrissy’s mind.  Just like his Peace Corp jaunt is the same as serving in the military.

  29. Imhotep says:

On one side of the big screen tv is Condi Rice telling us how wonderful we are for giving millions of $ in humanitarian aid to Lebanon. On the other side of the screen is an Israeli jet blowing up an apartment house in Beirut with American made bombs. It seems as if the inmates are running the asylum. Peace

  30. The_Real_JeffS says:

It seems as if the inmates are running the asylum.

Of course it seems that way to you, Imhotep, since you are a long standing inmate of the state asylum.  With INTERNET privileges for not throwing poo at the orderlies.

    Peace.

  31. nk says:

From the mouths of … . Yes!  Hell, yes!  We are there as friends of Israel and we don’t care who the f-word knows it.  It may be a “joke” to some creep with dreams of Moroccan vacations from the ‘70s but, on my part, I want my country to be 100% on the side of a little island of civilization in a sea of barbarity.  I pray fervently that the President will keep showing the balls no recent President had and keep backing Israel all the way.

  32. mRed says:

    Imhotep,

Impossible, you don’t have the where-with-all to run an asylum. Piece!

TW: body, as in I’d like to get a ….

  33. david says:

We are there as friends of Israel and we don’t care who the f-word knows it…I pray fervently that the President will keep showing the balls no recent President had and keep backing Israel all the way

I understand it feels good, but there are certain realities being ignored here.  This may be a strategic error of massive proportion.  I’m just saying.

  34. McGehee says:

I understand it feels good, but there are certain realities being ignored here.

    List, please?

  35. mRed says:

    Imhotep

‘The Warrior’. Spoiler: Imhotep pretended to be a Jaffa, and led an army of Jaffa in order to kill other Goa’uld and gain power. He was killed by SG-1

You teaser, you. You had us going, you warrior. Or are you an Arab Goa’uld and going after them Jooish Goa’uld? Peace?, nah.

  36. kelly says:

but there are certain realities being ignored here.  This may be a strategic error of massive proportion.

    Okay, I’ll bite.

What “realities” are being ignored and who, pray tell, is making this “strategic error of massive proportions”?

  37. bender says:

    david –

a strategic error for what reason precisely?

because by doing so your grandchildren wont face the sword if they dont convert to islam?

  38. david says:

    List, please?

Mainly, the people who comprise nk’s “sea of barbarity” aren’t going anywhere.  Actions that do not contemplate coexistence with those people, and their continuing difference of perspective from ours, are counterproductive.

  39. David says:

because by doing so your grandchildren wont face the sword if they dont convert to islam?

    You are a coward.

  40. Pablo says:

Hey, how come the comment permalinks don’t work?

Redirect. It’ll work if you Shorl it, or from another site.

  41. Jeff Goldstein says:

    david —

Differences of perspective cease to matter when one perspective is “kill all the Jews.”

Equivalency of this stripe is a danger, and advocating for it is the sign of a third-class mind who thinks itself a first class mind.

  42. bender says:

    You are a coward.

    Wrong answer wink

  43. Pablo says:

That is, it will work if you do it right, and don’t mash the URL you put in there.

    tw: indeed

  44. Jeff Goldstein says:

Off topic, but the world’s nuttiest bag of lumpy crazy just emailed me:

Oooh. I am so scared of you King Dumbphuque the Moron.

Good thing you and the Countess didn’t have a girl!

    S*atchel.

    He.He.He.

    Another crack about my kid.

The Tuscon Citizen and Inside Higher Ed?  Are both enablers for this kind of behavior.  As I noted in an earlier post.

As for Frisch, her desire for attention is has moved beyond pathetic.

I’M READY FOR MY CLOSEUP, MR DE MILLE!

  45. Tom W. says:

This may be a strategic error of massive proportion.

Yes, it’s a horrific, brain-dead error to create a new middle east in which terrorist-sponsoring nations can’t create states within states and attack our allies at will.

It may even inflame the Arab street, and then we’ll face an army of 200 million diaper-rashed jihadis armed with rocks and sticks.

    Whatever will we do?!

  46. kelly says:

Actions that do not contemplate coexistence with those people, and their continuing difference of perspective from ours, are counterproductive.

    Ah, well, then.

Appears to me that there’s a fair number of people in this world that couldn’t give a shit about “coexistence” with Western Civilization or about “perspective” at all. At the least, I take them at their word when they call for “Death to America.” Or am I being “counterproductive”?

  47. Pablo says:

    david sez:

Actions that do not contemplate coexistence with those people, and their continuing difference of perspective from ours, are counterproductive.

You need to read the Hamas and Hezbollah charters, and perhaps spend a while sampling the recent Judenhass stylings of the president of Iran.

They do not contemplate coexistence with “those people”.

  48. AFKAF says:

Actions that do not contemplate coexistence with those people, and their continuing difference of perspective from ours, are counterproductive.

It’s like its 1978, all over again.

  49. bender says:

    Whatever will we do?!

    obviously Hezbollah has the answer!

  50. Defense Guy says:

Mainly, the people who comprise nk’s “sea of barbarity” aren’t going anywhere.

Actually, some of them are being killed.  There weapons are being destroyed, and what was formerly a safe harbor from which to plan and carry out terrorism is currently a war zone, made that way by those who are being terrorized.

They are going to have to leave, die, or change their actions.  Which is a good thing.

BTW – All of you who watch Matthews, ever, have more capacity for self abusement than I.  If he comes on, I change the channel.  Because he don’t know what he is talking about, and that makes my head hurt.

  51. Pablo says:

I’M READY FOR MY CLOSEUP, MR DE MILLE!

The nutroots patriarchy is oppressing her out of the spotlight.

It’s so sad when dreams die.

  52. david says:

Differences of perspective cease to matter when one perspective is “kill all the Jews.”

You seem confused.  nk and I were referring to the entire middle east.  I would expect most of them are much more concerned with their kid’s school day and what’s for dinner tonight than they are concerned about “killing all the jews”.  Never mind acting on that desire.  However, most of them do believe the US has it in for their religion and poses an existential threat to their society

You think we can’t find a good way to drill through 2-3 inches of green radioactive glass?

    I wonder why.

  53. Defense Guy says:

However, most of them do believe the US has it in for their religion and poses an existential threat to their society

Do you think this is true?

Also, what does it have to do with Israels current war?

  54. bender says:

However, most of them do believe the US has it in for their religion and poses an existential threat to their society

Funny thing – most of them are pretty open about the existential threat they WANT to pose to our society, and in some cases the world as a whole.

Lets not discount the existential threat they currently pose to all the Israelis in Isreal, and well.. all the Jews the world over (want examples?)

How about this.  You go get these fanatics to stop killing people – murdering, beheading, raping, and slaughtering – across the globe – INCLUDING ISREALIS IN ISREAL AND ABROAD – and im sure the Isrealis will be happy to keep their armies, tanks, and planes within their own borders.

    Again – Wrong Answer.

  55. david says:

Do you think this is true?

It doesn’t matter if I believe it or not, they do.

  56. bender says:

It doesn’t matter if I believe it or not, they do.

Let me guess.. History tells you this?  If not, what could it be!

Is it something the leaders of the Arab world said on Al Jazeera that we didnt translate properly ?

  57. kelly says:

I would expect most of them are much more concerned with their kid’s school day and what’s for dinner tonight than they are concerned about “killing all the jews”.  Never mind acting on that desire.  However, most of them do believe the US has it in for their religion and poses an existential threat to their society

    Nice try, david.

The average age of the Palis is just about 16. Unemployed, spoonfed Joo-hatin’ from the cradle, and sanctioned by the UN.

Yep, really no different than any other culture. Just looking out for their family’s welfare, looking for the best schools, and planning that family vacation.

  58. Marc Antony says:

    A curse shall light upon the limbs of men;

Domestic fury and fierce civil strife

    Shall cumber all the parts of Italy;

Blood and destruction shall be so in use

    And dreadful objects so familiar

That mothers shall but smile when they behold

    Their infants quarter’d with the hands of war;

All pity choked with custom of fell deeds:

And Caesar’s spirit, raging for revenge,

With Até by his side come hot from hell,

Shall in these confines with a monarch’s voice

    Cry ‘Havoc!’ and let slip the dogs of war;

That this foul deed shall smell above the earth

With carrion men, groaning for burial.

(NB: Até – Greek godess of ‘ruin, folly and delusion’.)

  59. david says:

most of them are pretty open about the existential threat they WANT to pose to our society, and in some cases the world as a whole

Most of them?  There you guys go again.  You sound like a bunch of kids around a campfire trying to outscare each other.

And by the way, if both sides are right and the other poses a threat, whose threat is more credible?

  60. Jeff Goldstein says:

    And yet another Frisch email:

What are you talking about?  If you piss me off again I’m going to add

satchel as a verb to that stupid little online “urban” fictionary your

pissant anklebiting motherphuquing a-hole boyfriendz added frisch to.

    Capice?

Satchel. Verb: to drag your kid into sexually inappropriate fights on your

blog. Subset of “yucky, icky, sicko things mommies and daddies (but usually

    daddies) do to their children.”

They say that revenge is a dish best served cold, so i’m holding off on

    verbizing your progeny, mofo.

Call the FBI. Call your lawyer. BRING IT ON JEFFY BOY!!!!

Shee it. Did I ever misoverestimate you and your pissants.

It’s week 3 of my fifteen minutes of fame, you moron.  Shut up.

P.S. You gotta admit, the count without the O joke is pretty good.

  61. david says:

kelly, who’s talking about the Palestinians?

  62. kelly says:

kelly, who’s talking about the Palestinians?

    Just one example. Want more?

  63. david says:

I’m curious, if Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Iran all signed exclusive agreements with China and Japan to supply their oil, and those agreements expressly prohibited the sale of oil to the US, would we be within our rights to occupy their oil fields and pump it for ourselves?  Say we also gave them fair consideration.

  64. bender says:

which side says “we will kill you all” and then goes and takes shots into the crowd, blows themselves up in public places, and generally acts like barbarous murders?  Guess what – if you guessed the Israelis….

    Wrong answer.

  65. Denny Crane says:

    She’s still at it:

On the surface he appeared to be jocular.

    But under the mask

    And fueled by the flask

  66. bender says:

I’m curious, if Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Iran all signed exclusive agreements with China and Japan to supply their oil, and those agreements expressly prohibited the sale of oil to the US, would we be within our rights to occupy their oil fields and pump it for ourselves?  Say we also gave them fair consideration.

question for you – if you are the president of the United States, and this happens, and you are no longer able to obtain the resources your nation needs – what is your responsibility to your people?

My question is harder.  Why?  because the answer MAY include invading and occupying Saudi Arabia (the easiest and softest target!) but it doesnt have to does it.

But you have now changed the subject from your original, and un-defended assertion.

    You are still wrong.  Sorry.

  67. bender says:

does it?  (was supposed to be a question!)

  68. Verc says:

Frisch, wow. I wouldn’t knock her teeth out with YOUR CLUEBAT…eh, whatever.

David, you had better shit yourself a point within the next two-three minutes, buddy. What in the name of Jesus’ Prince Albert are you talking about?

  69. Defense Guy says:

It doesn’t matter if I believe it or not, they do.

First, it matters to me, and you can tell because I asked.  However, you are under no obligation to answer. Secondly, how do you know what the majority of the arab/muslim world thinks about the US and Islam?  In short, where are you getting this from?

  70. kelly says:

BTW, Jeff, you’ve got a certifiable lunatic on your hands with Frisch.

    Please accept my sympathies.

Did you ever get that gun?

  71. Vladimir says:

They don’t call him the Oprah of the political talk shows for nothing.

  72. Foster says:

But Jeff, you don’t understand. You haven’t seen “Munich”. It’s like Vietnam over there or something.

  73. Jeff Goldstein says:

Never did get a gun, Kyle.  We’re still saving to buy a house.

But I’m beginning to regret not pulling out some cash for a nice shotgun purchase.

  74. Verc says:

Get a Ryder BB gun, if nothing else. Shoot her eye out like Ron Jeremy to a chick with glass balls.

  75. bender says:

But I’m beginning to regret not pulling out some cash for a nice shotgun purchase.

it is entirely possible that she will go away if ignored…

i know youve tried it in the past – but – um – shes kind of going at it like the class wimp at the 30th reunion no?

  76. AFKAF says:

“david” is bucking for “actus status” with the non-sequitors, goal post moving and basic, off topic bullshitting.

  77. kelly says:

    Who’s Kyle? tongue wink

  78. Jeff Goldstein says:

I’m sorry, Kelly.  My mind is elsewhere right now.

I’ve ignored woman as best I can. But she can’t seem to help herself.

So it’s time to take steps to see that she thinks twice before ever trying this kind of thing with someone else’s family.

  79. Karl says:

    Defense Guy,

david isn’t going to be able to answer you (which I suspect you already know).  Since 2003, support for the War on Terror has increased in nations like Jordan, Indonesia and Pakistan.  While Europeans are less supportive of the WoT than in 2003, they are increasingly concerned about Hamas and Iran.

david is merely trying to prove Jeff right about the intellectual laziness of the Left.

  80. bender says:

Jeff – you know as well as I do that it would be more productive to start a MOCK cat fight with Ace than it is to bother with this garbage.

Trivia to lighten the mood –

did you know that Bolshevik = “majority” so technically “the majority report” is “the bolshevik report” ?

I allready reserved te blogger name.. wink

  81. kelly says:

So it’s time to take steps to see that she thinks twice before ever trying this kind of thing with someone else’s family.

    Good luck, buddy.

Thus far I’ve resisted posting the special invective I’ve got all saved up for her. It would only fuel her pathologies, no matter how creative I could get.

  82. Tom vG says:

I wonder if Chris will get his thong all tangled up about this from the Guardian.:

Iran warned the west yesterday that attempts to broker a Lebanon peace deal at today’s Rome summit are destined to fail and it predicted a backlash across the Muslim world unless Israel’s military forces were immediately reined in.

Senior government officials said the exclusion from the summit of Iran, Syria and their Lebanese ally Hizbullah meant that no lasting settlement was possible.

Hamid Reza Asefi, the foreign ministry spokesman in Tehran, said: ”They should have invited all the countries of the region, including Syria and Iran, if they want peace. How can you tackle these important issues without having representatives of all countries in the region?”

And, ok too snarky, but it looks like his “jaw, jaw, jaw(in)” jones has been satisfied at the Taquito rack at his local Georgetown 7/11.

  83. Civilis says:

What I hope david will eventually get to is stating what he expects the US to do to get them to like us.  I mean, we protect them from genocide, give them billions in aid and humanitarian assistance without thought of recompense and ignore deliberate slurs from them against our national character.

And by the way, if both sides are right and the other poses a threat, whose threat is more credible?

Mighty big if david throws in there.  The US has the capability to do whatever it damn well pleases in the middle east, but has not demonstrated any desire to do so.  Organized groups of muslims, small in number but posessing power and influence and unchecked by their own governments and co-religionists have the declared desire to inflict harm on the US, and seek the capability to do so.

It doesn’t matter if I believe it or not, they do.

Big question time: why do they believe it?  David won’t answer, probably because the answer doesn’t suit his worldview.

  84. Rusty says:

Most of them?  There you guys go again.  You sound like a bunch of kids around a campfire trying to outscare each other.

Ah.Here we go again. I’ll try and make this understandable. When confronted by an intruder that is armed with a gun, do you assume that the gun is unloaded?

And by the way, if both sides are right and the other poses a threat, whose threat is more credible?

Both sides aren’t right. Only one side bears the weight of civilization. Can you guess which one it is?

  85. Pixie Pug says:

  88. I especially like this part:

Well, it’s not a mistake. It’s not a youthful indiscretion. Look, he’s where he stands. He’s further right than the President, probably. Look, you know, I think you have to look at it this way. You or I, everybody in the United States lives in either a blue state or a red state, so our votes, individually, don’t really matter. I mean, I’ve been living in Maryland…I mean, my vote, it’s always going to be Democratic.

NOW can we dispose of the “unbiased media” myth?

  89. Thelinyguy:

That people like this are rising close to the top in their professions, whether it be in journalism or the CIA for crying out loud, simply backs up a point I try to make often: people are not taught how to reason and make rational decisions. It’s just not chic enough, or something.

    It’s easier than that.  Consider:

Chris Matthews — Tip O’Neill staffer

    George Stephanopolis — Clinton staffer

Tim Russert — lawyer for Mario Cuomo and staffer for Pat Moynihan

Are we seeing a pattern here?

  90. So it’s time to take steps to see that she thinks twice before ever trying this kind of thing with someone else’s family.

I hope that’s code for “I’ve filed a police report and called the FBI.”

If not, get the fuck off the computer and on the phone.

  91. Jim English says:

Referees are for basketball.  The are only useful if the players agree about what game they are playing and under which set of rules.

  92. Big Cooze Hunter says:

    – Frisch is going the Email route now because her pea brain finally figured out that comments are time stamped indelibly, whereas you can always use the “they were altered” lie ploy concerning Emails.

    – Whatever. She’s trying to keep it going trying to avoid slipping into oblivion. Starve her campaign for oxygen, and continue to record every missive. Handling net stalkers is best left to the proper authorities.

TW: We all saw what you did this summer Deb.

  93. SarahW says:

Cheezit, what is she on/not-on tonight?

  94. McGehee says:

Cheezit, what is she on/not-on tonight?

What she’s on, is anybody’s guess. What she’s not on, I offer a multiple-choice selection:

    1.) Her prescribed medication,

2.) The road back to sanity (trick answer; can’t go “back” somewhere you’ve never been),

    3.) My mind,

    4.) All of the above.

  95. ahem says:

This may be a strategic error of massive proportion.

Yes, but for whom? If your neighbors are hell-bent on annihilating you, there really are no strategic errors, are there?

I suspect david is a one-volley troll. He steps to the deep end of the pool, releases his bowels and then exits stage left.

  96. McGehee says:

If your neighbors are hell-bent on annihilating you, there really are no strategic errors, are there?

Well, there’s one: “Pretending they’re not really hell-bent on annihilating you.”

  97. ahem says:

Also, I think Frish is mixing booze with her meds. Just my opinion.

  98. ahem says:

    MeGhee: Right-o.

  99. N. O'Brain says:

I would expect most of them are much more concerned with their kid’s school day and what’s for dinner tonight than they are concerned about “killing all the jews”.

Which is why, of course, that HB hides their rocket caches in places like….schools, right
