Please tune in today to “Hoist the Black Flag” on Rightalk. The show begins at 4:05 pm EST, 1:05 pacific.
Today’s guest is Michelle Malkin, one of the blogosphere’s most candid and divisive figures. Which is why I love her so much, even when we disagree on certain social issues.
Oh. And sadly, I STILL don’t have the broadcast equipment, so I’ll be doing the show from a telephone. Again. Which explains my tinny, nasally voice. And of course my failure to find any WMDs, or stop the ferociousness of the Iraqi insurgency.
Anyway please call in with any questions: 866-884-TALK (8255). And spread the word!
Today’s topics: Attacks on the First Amendment within the academy, immigration reform, and the latest round of death threats she’s received, courtesy of the “tolerance” brigade, army of the Reality-based Community. Plus whatever else we can think to discuss.

update: If you miss the show live, you can catch it at 5 after the hour every hour for the next 23 hours after the live broadcast. Just go to Rightalk and click on the show’s icon.

The two blogs that have worn out my F5 are Ace of Spades and Protein Wisdom. It’s excellent to see you in on HtBF, Jeff.
A douchebag over at Ace comments:
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the current state of progressive intelligence.
Nevermind that the “victims” supplied their own personal information as part of a press release.
It reminds me of an old saying my grandma had, “Don’t put on a rubber unless you’re ready to fuck.”
Or something like that.
The ethnic slurs by the left are real classy too.
You were makin’ it with your granny, snake?!?!
Dayuuummmm!!!
I wanna know if Jeff ate his wife’s placenta…and did he wash it down with a nice Chianti or a chocolate malted.
john pike:

Maybe. But nothing compared to their ethnic slurp.
Hey, I have an alibi.
As for the voice, Jeff, try a Vocoder or Talkbox. It even made Frampton sound interesting.
Remember the leftards hacked into the Protest Warriors computers and published the pvt. info of the members. They refused to remove it, too.
I heard some weird noise. It’s either my speakers, Jeff’s tinny voice, or little Satch. I hope it’s Satch. Or, maybe it’s one of the Malkin kids.
Mr. Goldstein, you get bonus points for class shown during that show.
Couldn’t the university at least give the recruiters the same deal they gave Mumia in 2000 and let them address students by phone?
Got that? Shooting a cop in the back demonstrates a ‘social conscience’ and earns you a place of honor at UCSanta Cruz.
Here’s another upcoming event:
Former U.S. ambassador to Iraq [former Sec.State wannabe and current serial liar]Joseph Wilsonâ€â€the husband of outed CIA operative Valerie Plameâ€â€will be among the featured speakers at “The War on Terror: A Credible Threat,” [meaning terrorism is no threat but Bush is] a daylong teach-in [’teach-in”? Could you possibly be any more stuck in the ‘60’s?] that will take place on Monday, April 24, at UC Santa Cruz in the Quarry Amphitheater.
The 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. public event will feature nationally known speakers for a day of reflection on U.S. international politics and university life. Guest speakers will include U.S. Representative Sam Farr; prominent law professors from UCLA, UC Berkeley, Columbia, and Georgetown University; Santa Cruz mayor Cynthia Mathews; and senior UC Santa Cruz faculty members. Chancellor Denton is also expected to attend and speak briefly. Admission is free.
Wilson is now at the center of a controversy involving the White House, the CIA, and the Iraq war. His wife’s identity was disclosed after he asserted in a New York Times op-ed column that the administration twisted prewar intelligence to exaggerate the Iraqi threat from a nuclear weapons program.
The teach-in is designed to address growing concern over warrantless searches of U.S. citizens, confirmed reports of torture in U.S.-controlled prisons, alleged violations of constitutional and international law in the war on terror, and the deteriorating situations in Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Middle East. It was initiated by Faculty Against Warâ€â€a group of 25 senior UC Santa Cruz faculty membersâ€â€and a coalition of student organizations, including Students Against War (SAW). [The co-ordination between the Chancellor, Faculty Against War and Students Against War proves that it is official university policy to riot against military recruiters in violation of the Solomon Amdt., passed by Congress, signed by the Executive and ratified unanimously by the Supreme Court–not to mention local laws against inciting a riot. Not to mention creating a hostile environment for those students who may actually wish to serve their country, not just leech off of it.]
“As educators, we feel an obligation to respond, and so we have chosen to respond with education,” noted UC Santa Cruz politics professor Michael Urban, who spoke on behalf of Faculty Against War. [You don’t do education, pal–only indoctrination, and on the taxpayer’s dime.]
The idea for the event grew out of outrage at the Pentagon’s spying on antiwar activities by students and a recent report in which UC Santa Cruz was characterized as being a “credible threat” to national security. Chancellor Denton challenged that designation with members of Congress, and it was subsequently removed from the Pentagon’s database. [Put ‘em back on it.]
“This event is an effort to spark a national movement similar to the kind of effective teach-ins that were mounted in the 1960s and 1970s about the war in Vietnam,” said feminist studies professor Bettina Aptheker. The organizers aim to “provide a forum for those who want to consider what is being done in their names, and to inform the judgment and discretion of both the academic and civic communities,” she added.
The list of speakers include the usual smattering of professional perverts, Stalinist Boot-lickers, racialist pigmentarians, America-haters, crotch-worshippers, Marx-maniacs, peace-creeps, man-haters, tree-huggers and terrorist-sympathizers…but this one is funny:
BWAHHAHAHAHAHAHA. Please. Stop. Your making my predialectic paradigm decontextualize.
Here’s what needs to happen;
1.) The University needs to stop acting like a RICO entity.
2.) Those tied-dyed Brown-Shirts need to be prosecuted and expelled.
3.) All federal funding should cease yesterday until those conditions are met.
and
4.) It would be a darn shame if a bunch of real Americans showed up at this Wilson Lie-In. A darn shame.
Shut-up and Teach.
Commie.
Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
I’m boycotting Malkin until she admits she was an ignorant knee-jerk reactionary on DPW.
I’m still boycotting you so the cosmic balance is maintained.
Coincidentally, I don’t know what DPW refers to but, since I am boycotting you, I will never know.
DPW is Dubai Ports World.
Malkin also succumbed to the Schiavo Effect, so that is two strikes.
She’s a good person I guess, but just not very bright.
But that is no reason for the sub-sentient scum of UCSC to target her personal life.
dayum, now I have to defend her!
that sux.
Regarding how this all started, Michelle Malkin went to a cached page, took a screenshot, and posted the image on her site because didn’t like the politics of the people. It’s not her place to justify the disclosing of this information because she deemed that they were terrorizing people. That’s an issue for the Santa Cruz police department to deal with, not her own brand of vigilante justice.
The anti-racist One People’s Project website has released her details which the say are publically available on the Internet.
Someone took it a step further and used live.windows.com and yahoo maps to do a Graphic.

Payback’s a bitch eh’[/url] Malkin?
Her refusal to remove these kids contact information was not from conviction, but from revenue. Every journalist in the world knows that contact information on a press release is for journalists to call for more information or interviews, not to be published (or even pointed out) in the publication itself. If she were any kind of ethical person she would have pulled the information when asked.
If she were something resembling a human being with “feelings”, she would not have republished the information once the students themselves removed it. Michelle is a vicious, vindictive, venomous egoist with no discernible ethics nor even a shred of human decency. If she wants to be The Minority Woman Who Believes Minorities and Women Suck, that’s her right. But she should at least have the integrity to acknowledge that she has done wrong and to stop compounding the wrong. And she should not give us that disingenuous crap about how she doesn’t condone death threats and nobody should misuse her posting and reposting of personal information.
