   That’s a conclusion a lot of us have come to, I think, though a lot of it, for me, is due to the cult surrounding him. Succinctly put, Darleen, and I hope the image gets some play on the tubes.

   Obama was supposed to bring in another Camelot, I think, shadowing the last cult of personality president before Obama, JFK.

   I wonder what Trump is supposed to bring in the eyes of his more rabid followers. Is it a shining city or a smoking crater?

   In method, I’d agree, great similarities. On questions of ideological substance however? ClownDisaster had very definite, if well concealed aims. Trump? Can’t see those, really, save to the extent he intends to serve himself a heaping helping of whatever it is he regards as his pleasures when those arrive.

   My guess is instead of getting Obama’s third term (Carter’s fourth) we’ll get Clinton’s third term —which will look a helluva lot more like his first term than his second.

    The press covered up for Orange Julius too – until he became the “presumptive” nominee. Now that the only candidate for the GOP nomination Hillary consistently leads in the polls, is her November opponent, that phase of the work is done.

    As we all predicted months ago, the media will slice him and dice him – and because of his unprecedented negatives, it’ll work.

    And if he didn’t know this was how it would play out, he’s an even bigger fool than I’ve already come to believe.
