Evolution of a scandal: Planned Parenthood apologizes for “tone” [Darleen Click]

First PP angrily declared the video “false”, then admitted they merely transferred fetal “tissue” for expense “fees”. Unable to avoid the clear presentation of Dr. Deborah Nucatola’s blithe discussion of how and where to crush unborn children in order to preserve certain organs for harvesting while she sipped wine and lunched, Planned Parenthood is now apologizing for her tone

The president of Planned Parenthood on Thursday apologized for the “tone and statements” of its chief medical officer, whose candid comments about fetal organ removal have generated heavy attacks against the organization.

“Our top priority is the passionate care that we provide. In our video, one of our staff members speaks in a way that does not reflect that compassion,” president Cecile Richards said in a video statement released Thursday afternoon.

“This is unacceptable, and I personally apologize for the staff member’s tone and statements,” she said.

Dr. Deborah Nucatola, senior director of medical services, was filmed discussing the demand for fetal organs such as livers, lungs and “intact” hearts. The video has racked up more than 1.5 million views since it was released Tuesday.

Nucatola has since been “reprimanded,” vice president of communications Eric Ferrero wrote in a statement to The Hill, though the organization declined to provide specifics.

The dear doctor and Planned Parenthood are just the more genteel side of what went on Kermit Gosnell’s clinic.

They are passionate about their compassion, don’t ya know? So just keep sending those tax dollars!

  3. Apologize for the tone, but not for the substance, not for the objective reality of what goes on in PP’s abattoirs.

Ghoul is too kind a word for her.

    Nazgul perhaps comes close.

apology accepted but the government should stop giving these people monies

But then you are threatening “Womyn’s/wimmen’s HEALTH!” Waaaaah!”

In other words, these “social issues” have economic consequences.

    And I’m not anti-abortion either.

it’s better for failmerica to save the monies and it’s better for the planned parenthood to get off the dole and be self-sufficient

I’m not for outlawing all abortion either, but I certainly don’t like or support the “abortion on demand, at all stages, and no apology” tour that pretends it represents the majority of American opinion.

I found myself arguing with a pro-abort that the minimum she should do is at least admit that abortions done for convenience reasons, while legal, were immoral.

She wouldn’t because LEGAL = MORAL to her. Plus “children ruin people’s lives”

Her Kool-aid had been reduced to cement.

Tell it to the Left. They think they are entitled to the money.

Agreed. Past a certain point, it is no longer an “unviable tissue mass”, s/he is an actual permature *baby*.

And to have abortions going on in the same period of time where doctors are struggling to save premature babies is just, well, sickening.

Had we actually treated abortion like we treated, say, women’s suffrage, hashing it out or fighting for it state-by-state, we might have reached that consensus on our own.

But no, a Politboro of judges had to hand down edicts.

Records reveal that Nucatola was employed by a former White House staffer at the time that she was selling aborted baby fetus parts.

Nucatola is currently employed at Sexual Health Innovations, founded by former Obama White House staffer Jessica Ladd. Senior Obama administration officials sit on the board of the abortion activist group, including Praveen Basaviah of the President’s Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS and Kyle Bernstein of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The IRS-approved 501(c)3 tech nonprofit is a major Obama administration contractor.

There is no redeeming value in Planned Parenthood. Like any group that lives in an echobox, there is no outside influence to moderate or minimize ideas that ‘offend’ even the most craven of immorality. Could whatshername ever have hoped that people would be free to commit worse than the Nazi’s with both the blessing and support of our own Government – or the tacit…hell, full blown defense of it? You can let a bruised apple sit in a basket ‘for a time’, but eventually the rot will corrupt the rest if let to fester long enough.

Too many use abortion as an excuse, an after the fact justification, for their own irresponsibility. I have no sympathy for them, nor a desire to support or encourage them. Planned Parenthood IS Gosnell, but with a nicer facade…

    Again? Which thread?

I was up wrangling some real gems on Twitter until the wee hours of the morning, and when I finally drifted off to sleep I dreamed that a demented Sheldon Cooper was lurking in the cubes at work, trying to find ways to lure me into one of the 2x2ft openings he’d randomly opened in the floor.

Pits with awful things in them. But they let him do that because he’s a genius programmer and I’m just tech pubs.
