Tsarnaev found guilty [Darleen Click]

Next up, death penalty phase.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was convicted Wednesday in the Boston Marathon bombing by a federal jury that now must decide whether he should be executed.

The verdict was reached Wednesday afternoon, nearly two years to the day three people were killed and more than 260 injured in the April 15, 2013, bombings.

Tsarnaev, 21, showed no emotion as he listened to the verdict, reached after a day and a half of deliberations. He was found guilty on all 30 counts that included conspiracy and use of a weapon of mass destruction — offenses punishable by death.

I only hope that he is not executed by lethal injection — too easy. Maybe should stand him next to a bunch of pressure cooker bombs and set them off.

You know I was thinking that the state of Massachusetts really gets a pass here not having to try this and still getting to see a chance at a death penalty.

I would prefer that the gallows be used. Ideally in public.

I hope his last meal is brought to him in something that looks like a pressure cooker, inside a backpack.

This year’s Boston Marathon is a week from Monday. I say they give the kid a spot on the starting line.

Jokes aside, will he go to Terre Haute like McVeigh if they need to off him?
