Scalise / Hoyer working together to bring Boehner votes

Because that’s what the American people demand: that Congress Get Things Done and Govern Effectively. And by gum, the GOP is going to show it won’t let something like principals or campaign promises get in the way of this political objective! It’s bipartisanship in action! It’s compromise writ ostentatiously! And Americans love that shit — even if it means dumping 5 million new illegals into the work force as legal workers (against explicit federal law) and in so doing creates the conditions for lower wages and greater competition among an already struggling underclass Americans vying for limited jobs; gives the Democrats another 4+ million presumptive votes, as most of the illegals being legalized will qualify for social security (already near insolvent), medicare or medicaid, and earned income tax credits, and essential makes a mockery of the very idea of national sovereignty and citizenship.

— Meaning that we’ll be subsidizing the officially-sanctioned end of our own country — fundamental transformation, you see!– and forced to destroy our own social safety net by doling out what’s left of it to people with absolutely no legitimate claim to our money.

Perhaps most shocking — and this shows just how beholden the GOP establishment is to its monied interests and cronies — Boehner and McConnell, et al., are letting the President essentially usurp the role of Congress, which has every right (and indeed, a Constitutional obligation) to add a rider to any CR or omnibus bill specifying that no money can be allocated for the new 1000 employee processing center being set up to expedite, without vetting (estimates are that the center will be dealing with 21K per day applications, which means they can’t possible do any good faith investigating of who is gaining work status), illegals given unconstitutional privileges by a rogue, imperial executive.

Writes Numbers USA:

Politico is reporting that both Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and the White House are open to House Speaker John Boehner’s plan to fully fund the government for most of next year with the exception of the immigration agencies charged with executing Obama’s amnesty. Why? The answer is simple — Boehner’s plan allows Pres. Obama to move forward with his amnesty that will issue work permits and Social Security cards to 5 million illegal aliens.

With the blessing of Democratic Leaders, Speaker Boehner can afford to lose a few Republican votes with his plan because he can likely make up any lost votes with Democrats. That’s why we must force ALL House Republicans to oppose Boehner’s plan and demand that amnesty is defunded during the lame-duck.

The plan — because, you know, our elected representatives now rely on the stupidity of the American voter — is to push through funding with Democrat votes, blocking the “extremist wing” of the GOP from doing anything to mess up the chance to bring Jeb Bush to the White House in 2016. Of course, these same people who believe you are stupid ran on precisely the same message as the “extremists” they’ll now seek to marginalize and whose votes they’ll seek to compensate for with Democrat support. After which, they’ll talk tough and hold show votes pretending they to try to repeal what they’ve allowed through the funding process and through abdication of their commitment to the people they represent.

It’s all theater. Boehner, Obama, Reid, McConnell — they’ve been working together on this mutually-beneficial cronyist move for some time now. But Boehner wanted Obama to wait until after the election to do something, after which he wouldn’t do anything in the House to stop him.

This is nothing short of an absolute betrayal of the American people, and proof positive that the GOP is complicit in usurping Congressional power and moving it to the Executive branch (which, when we have the next GOP President, the Dems will turn around and disallow as a matter of “principle” when and if a GOP President tries it). They care nothing of the people they claim to represent. They say what they need to to get reelected and then they go to Washington and do as they please, creating plausible deniability of their political venality and cowardice by orchestrating these show votes — and even worse, but making sure the conditions the electorate oppose continue to exist so that they can then fundraise off of them, and run campaigns based on promises to thwart them, once they have enough power.

It’s all bullshit. Every last bit of it.

The federal system is irredeemably corrupt and coopted. The political class truly does despise the grass roots who have shown an interest in the inner workings of a broken system and who’ve pulled the sheet back on what is in effect a one-party liberal fascist ruling elite.

Don’t be hoodwinked. States are beginning to form a coalition lawsuit against Obama, but can we count on the same Court who said Obama has complete discretion on immigration enforcement to stop a bipartisan federal spending bill that gives Obama power to spend as he sees fit?

More of a charade, another act in a play meant to dupe us, to control us, to constrain us, to weaken us, to seize more and more power at the federal level, and to remake society in the image of progressivism, which many many many in the GOP have embraced (going back to Taft and Teddy R, and now by self-interested, self-serving political hacks who’ve learned to game a system heavily favoring incumbents for re-election, be it through party apparatus or through gerrymandering, redistricting, etc., to ensure certain “democratic” outcomes.

Time to burn the whole thing down. Figuratively speaking of course, and using the Article V Amendment process.

The best part being that when we, the people, “loot” the federal government, it will have the moral benefit of taking back money and liberties that were ours to begin with. Again, figuratively speaking.

I’m not Eric Holder, Barack Obama, or Al Sharpton, for Chrissakes.

Richard Fernandez has had a couple of good essays on how the country is succeeding in spite of itself –or rather, in spite of the idiots ostensibly “leading” it.

The same could be said of the Republican Party.
