Obama is saying that he’s going to sweep aside the legislative branch which stands in the way of the people’s progress toward the justice, prosperity and security they can have under his unfettered leadership. This would be really scary to me if I knew history. But I don’t, so it sounds pretty darn good! I was thinking that the rule of law just a bourgeois impediment created by capitalists with their boot on the neck of the people. I mean, ask yourself, what is the point of “rule of law”? All’s I know is, it’s a shopworn, hackneyed phrase and it’s hamstringing Obama in his efforts to create a society of justice, prosperity and security. It’s a banal and trite shibboleth and bugaboo if you ask me. And don’t get me started about the Constitution. It’s a POS.
Here is a good man offering to sweep aside the dried out old crusts of a society that has outworn its usefulness and to create a society of justice, prosperity and security, but you have a group of angry white people who protest this. They say “rule of law” but that’s a red herring, as I argued conclusively above. They say “it’ll bankrupt us” but, duh, of course it’s going to cost something and if rich people would start paying their fair share we could easily afford it. So, why the opposition, then? He’s black. That explains it. And the capitalists are willing to use these useful idiots to protect their capital. We. Need. A. Dictatorship. Now. There’s no way around this under the circumstances. It don’t necessarily feel comfortable with that but they’re leaving us no choice and fortunately it’ll be an enlightened dictatorship.
I read this, and then I thought about how Obama and company have been trying to get rid of our guns, but we are buying more than ever.
If progs were as clever as most of us fear, they would be trying (or pretending to try) to get guns into the hands of every US citizen with an Obamacare-style arm America plan. Then, I’d worry.
We’d have broken websites, and massive risk of personal data loss. We’d have gun ownership mandated, with minimum standards for capacity and caliber. No one should be allowed to use .32 or 9mm; those aren’t enough for every shooting situation! Instead we should all be forced to use .500 Smith and Wesson. Sure it may be more expensive, but it’s better than inferior rounds! You may not be able to find a rifle that shoots it, and there may be some supply issues if suddenly everyone is only using one caliber of cartridge, but there’s bound to be some wrinkles to iron out in any major legislation, right?
That link has to be The Onion. Harvey Weinstein and Meryl Streep intend to destroy the NRA with a movie. Ha! My favorite Onion headline was “Area Bassist Fellated.”
My biggest laugh came from the reference to “Mr Smith Goes to Washington”, as if Weinstein was a Frank Capra, or Hollywood had a Jimmy Stewart caliber actor to put in it.

Ha, I know. Their egos knows no bounds. It’s understandable, sorta. They make oodles of money for a marginal product, then spend the rest of the year handing each other awards. They have a warped perception on things.
I read a piece yesterday about “Her” (I don’t think I could have less interest in seeing a movie, to be honest), but the reviewer was bringing up an interesting aspect of the movie. The setting (the future -a proggie one, apparently) and the main characters- writers. Ex Hollywood writers and the like.
Harvey: *** I want to tell you Howard, I am completely ignorant of a thing, and when I am completely ignorant of a thing that ignorance alone makes the thing evil. In fact, the more ignorant I am, the more evil the thing becomes. And those who know? The very devils. Now watch me demonize! ***

– In cinematography we call this the “Bumblefuck effect”.
Mr. Stern pointed out the inconsistencies in Mr. Weinstein’s earlier comments about a project about Jews defending themselves during the Holocaust. The producer replied that the justification for using a gun is “when you’re marching a half of a million people into Auschwitz.”
Mr. Weinstein does not seem to know that the Nazis were able to confiscate the guns that the Jewish people owned based on Germany’s government registry.
Also, the producer said he would have used a gun to stop from going to a concentration camp if he “found a gun, and if that was happening to my people.”
Mr. Weinstein has been watching too many movies if he thinks the good guys find fully loaded firearms in convenient locations to use only when necessary.
You have to understand that all that Harvey supports is the disarming of those who he does not think of as “my people.” His people are now the government and they are not the ones who will be disarmed by any law he wants passed and enforced.
– In the long run all the political agitprop and back and forth arguments really don’t mean anything, other than the fact that every day this bullshit exists costs us tax payer dollars. OCare will work or sink based totally on its true viability. So far not a single aspect of its introduction is proving positive, but old Proggies die hard.
Time to look for and purchase the more undervalued of firearm stocks, because if the past is any guide, a movie attacking the NRA will prompt an even larger surge of demand for firearms and ammunition.
SWHC looks like the best deal right now. But enough firearms companies are privately held that the guns themselves might be a better investment.

How many of their viewers will twig to the fact that the comedy sketch was 100% true?

My guess is “few”.
i think of my obamaslut friend J and her chronically ill mom a lot
as the filthy foodstampers flood the system it’s gonna be harder and harder for her mom to see her specialists, most of which are over two hours away
i would never have done something like that on my mom

Ave Caesar!
I had an epiphany today.

Bravo, Jiim!
David Brooks has a jealous eye on you, Jim. Obama is his squeeze, and he won’t let any Johnny-Come-Lately move in and spoil his pants crease.

I’m actually a little giddy with anticipation.
Hollywood doesn’t even do subtle propaganda very well anymore*. Overt? This is going to be AWESOME.
*because they are so far gone, they have lost their grip on reality

Remember when Hollywood made movies for people instead of for Hollywood?
Good times.
So, wouldn’t the appropriate reaction be to start planning to make Harvey Weinstein wish he wasn’t alive?
The funny part of this is that Howard Stern is one of damned few people with an NYC carry permit and was probably packing during the interview.
Harvey had me rolling in the aisle when he said “I’da shot them Nazi sumbitches” during the Holocaust.
Silly rabbit. Don’t you know the Nazis took your guns?
My only hope is that Harvey ploughs every buck he has into the venture.

We really should encourage him in this.
