More ObamaCare transparency [Darleen Click]

Wednesday night prior to a major, national holiday, a quiet “annoucement.”

The Department of Health and Human Services said Wednesday that it will delay the launch of the online SHOP Marketplace — which is meant for small businesses — until November 2014. Officials did not give a hard deadline, though the start could easily slip past the 2014 midterms, sparing the administration any headaches right before the election.

Yeah, this isn’t political AT ALL.

They’d better tell all those businesses that they aren’t allowed to warn their employees of the pending insurance cancellations, too. Not the unions, though, they got a fresh waiver.

Because everyone knows that you postpone a major success, just as long as you can, because no one knows what The People might do if they knew the truth…

Some how I lucked out on this. Big time. I’m only now realizing how lucky I am through this whole thing, so far. The whole time I never did fully appreciate the health care collective at the FRB, I undervalued it. It has already saved my life. But now it saved me from a feckless government and a determined single-minded Party. It survived that.

    I do not understand it.

I’d be dead already. The tests available and the medical test performed are too much and too many. The test are worse than the affliction, there are so many. I learned to say, “No” to avoid them. I am the guy who drives the medical pool cost up, way up, and yet the cost of my insurance went down. For the first time in my life, my insurance package went down. By 7%. And that is significant. I’ll be happy to show you if you like.

I think that is because I’ve been paying so high all along. We all have been paying high in our pool. Our rates have risen every single year, it seems so, for the last 20 years. And this year down. And the only thing I can think of is that our collective is totally ace. That’s the FRB for you, the last bastion of conservatism. For reals. And now it shows big time in real life.

But there is one thing that bugs the piss out of me and it is small compared to what is happening to millions of other people. This “wellness program” bullshit where you commit to not smoking and they knock off $30.00 a month, maybe $40.00, it’s a lot altogether and you have to note that each year. Like a cheap-ass rebate marketing program, I hate that poppycock. I missed it and now I have to pay a higher amount until I can have that corrected and it is a once a year bullshit thing. So. Not such a bad complaint considering what is happening to other people. I am thankful for that. Very thankful.

I’m too careless to have seen to this myself. I would not have done it. It is all because I worked at a very boring place for a very long time. That’s all. That is the thing that saved me.

i think the moment most people will realize something has gone terribly wrong is when they go to the doctor and walk into a crowded standing-room-only waiting room that reeks of the stench of diseased food stampers

    no doctor no “health care”

So far my county is still offering us our group plan (I pay 1/3 the premium, they pick up the rest)

I cover me and my husband … that’s about $6K/year out of my pocket

I shudder to think what the CA exchange would soak us for.
