I now own a $15K 2-carat diamond ring … [Darleen Click]

Yes, I haven’t paid for it yet. And, well, yes, it is still only sitting in my shopping cart. But if it’s good enough for Obama

The fight over how to define the new health law’s success is coming down to one question: Who counts as an Obamacare enrollee?

Health insurance plans only count subscribers as enrolled in a health plan once they’ve submited a payment. That is when the carrier sends out a member card and begins paying doctor bills.

When the Obama administration releases health law enrollment figures later this week, though, it will use a more expansive definition. It will count people who have purchased a plan as well as those who have a plan sitting in their online shopping cart but have not yet paid.

The fraud continues.

    – Yeah, sooooo, the scorecard for FraudCare stands at 50,000 incomplete applications vs 5 millions cancelled policies.

    – What are all the baggers yammering on about? Ingrates!

  3. Use it as collateral to take out a loan. Use the loan to buy influence with the administration to get some stimulus cash. Then you can pay off the ring, buy some more influence with the administration, and still have some money left over.

On second thought, better not. That method has been patented by Goldman Sachs.

I’m going to send in a screenshot of that digital shopping cart and send that to the IRS as my proof of insurance. If the Executive Branch sets a standard, they have to live up to it. Right?

It’s not like they are asserting that the Law doesn’t apply to them, or anything, right?

    – The Hildebeast camp fires off the opening salvo across the lame ducks bow as we start three years early in the campaign wars. Actually Carville was a busy boy over the weekend signaling the change of the fearless cult leader.

    – Over at HuffNPoop (We brave the insanity of the star chamber so you don’t have too) they seem to be having a news front nervous breakdown, torn between the changing of the Progressive cult guard and protecting the Jug ears. They don’t seem to be quite sure if this is the time for the change or not, but the ledes are starting to jetison the CYA rewrites and just state whatever is actually happening. There are exceptions of course, like anything having to do with Sarah still makes the Lefts airheads explode, but the signs of Billary moving into the minds of the deliberatly delusional are all there. The most glaring example is the total reversal on the way ObummerCare is being presented, and the actual reporting of Obama downers by leading Democrats. Unheard of!

The Yankee payroll could really save a bundle with this system.

Aren’t the tags of “fraud, obamacare” redundant?

Pablo, if this keeps up, we’ll shortly be seeing an ad based on my idea about a bunch of Sandra Fluke types on their knees before Teh Won: #GetCovered

  10. BigBangHunter says:

    – Would that possibly be the famously rumored #ObamaBuckack video Squid?

  11. Squid says:

I’d be careful about that diamond ring you just “bought,” Darleen. Won’t be too long before you’re charged a consumption tax on it.

  12. palaeomerus says:

If that diamond ring don’t shine,
momma’s gonna suffer a mandate fine.

  13. RI Red says:

Pablo, I honest to goodness thought that ad was satire.

Fewer that 27,000 people have managed to even get to the point where they selected a plan to go in that shopping cart, much less actually agree to it, and send off payment. That is not to say that anyone has actually been covered by any new policies issued since Oct 1, though, just the number of people the administration has already announced they will over claim by adding in all those who have a plan in their on-line cart.

More than half a billion dollars for 27,000 potential shoppers. Still less than 6% of what they needed (~492,000 enrollees in October).

Just the name of that ‘hosurance’ website (“doyougotinsurance.com”) is like fingernails on a blackboard.

Next they’ll be telling us the exchange plans “could cost less!” as an example of how inexpensive they are.
