“HUD Proposes Plan to Racially, Economically Integrate Neighborhoods”

I hate to say I told you so, but —

Oh, who am I kidding? I love to tell you I told you so. The problem is, so few of you bother to listen.

Once you surrender the language, you surrender autonomy. Once you surrender autonomy, will to power and consensus will begin its tyrannical creep, freed from the constraints of a Constitutional republic built on the stewardship of guarding autonomy. And once this new centralized beast breaks the chains of the founders and begins its tyrannical creep, there’s very little in the way of social engineering it cannot justify: for the children, for the power, for the fairness, for the diversity.

Or, let’s put it this way: all your freedom of association are belong to us!

Bye, bye, Miss American Pie.

  1. William says:

Loophole in the bill for our elite: staff that clean the house for eight hours a day can be considered “living” there.

  2. Dalekhunter says:

How else can you seriously address the red lining that sustained white flight and lead to the deep deep segregation we find in our suburbs and small cities. White families permit somewhere around 11% non-white residential presence before fleeing a neighborhood.

Experts addressing a problem. Just think, you might just have non-white neighbor. Or as the public comments so tactfully described a single mother and her 5 “gangsta kids.” You can’t keep it all for yourself, because it was never yours to begin with.

  3. Scott Hinckley says:

Will the administration grant a waiver to this too for Congress and its staff?

  4. William says:

Yeah, I don’t think many people on this blog consider freedom a problem, Dalek.

Plus, I really hope you’re writing that post from under your bridge in downtown Detroit.

  5. Scott Hinckley says:

    Experts addressing a problem.

Alluding to facts not in evidence, i.e. “experts”.

You can’t keep it all for yourself, because it was never yours to begin with.

So you don’t recognize private property rights? What a surprise!

If the government can decree the percentages of the different races that live in a neighborhood match the mixture of the society at large, how are the white people selected that must go live in what are currently minority-dominated neighborhoods? Lottery? And what about the people forced out of these neighborhoods so the white folks can move in? Aren’t they being forced to move because of white folks? Sounds racist to me.

  6. newrouter says:

“White families permit somewhere around 11% non-white residential presence before fleeing a neighborhood. ”

    yea right

  7. McGehee says:

Who knew DK was a doctoral candidate?

  8. Pablo says:

What’s the problem being addressed by these experts?

    Liberty.

  9. Shermlaw says:

The rumblings of this began a number of years ago. The ultimate plan entails creating regional entities under federal supervision. Good-bye local municipalities, school districts, etc. with respect to land use regulations and education. That’s the end game. In my own area, I looked at the county “partners” in our local “Regional Growth Association” and promptly moved outside of that area. This, among other things, is why I have very little hope for our country absent some very, very significant changes in the way we do business.

  10. John Bradley says:

Shorter Every-Leftist-Ever: “Race race racity race race race… hey, why are you wingers such racists?”

So, it’s a ‘problem’ that those darned whiteys won’t stay where you put them? That when their circumstances aren’t to their liking, they think they can just leave?

Thank god we’ve got ‘experts’ to remind us that we’re not a nation of Free Men, but serfs tied to the land, only able to live where our Lords allow it.

  11. dicentra says:

I guess they can’t continue to let all those blackity black folks live together in such concentrations.

    Wouldn’t be prudent.

  12. Jim says:

Dale, your social engineering destroyed the black family. Please stop.

There is no such thing as an expert in social engineering. Scratch one and you’ll find a power-hungry busybody who is about to destroy something beautiful and fragile. You certainly won’t find someone who cares about black people.

This is how you address your concern, Dale. You unleash the only things which ever lifted people out of poverty: liberty, rule of law, and private property. You get the government’s boot off of the neck of the economy and let people live and trade as they please so they can go back to building wealth and lifting themselves out of poverty like they were doing before the pressure of the boot grew greater and greater to the point where the neck is about to snap. You let people build a decent civil society suitable to their own talents, desires, and tastes and made from of a rich tradition which any panel of experts cannot fathom, control or redesign but can only destroy. The choice is a decent and rich culture based in liberty from government control or a totalitarian wasteland inhabited only by a small group of kleptocrats, the experts on their payroll, and masses of poor. There is no other choice, Dale. You haven’t got one. It doesn’t exist.

You are obviously deeply concerned about black people, Dale. The question is how you will address your concern.

  13. Pablo says:

The rumblings of this began a number of years ago.

Stanley Kurtz, who is roundly ignored despite his largely hairless feet, describes the other half of the plan.

  14. leigh says:

    Experts addressing a problem.

What would we do without experts?

  15. dicentra says:

My neighborhood is already quite diverse, racially, and it’s getting more diverse by the day.

I have only two requirements for “good neighbors”: (1) don’t mess with my stuff (2) don’t make a lot of noise.

Thirteen years and I’m still left unmolested and in peace despite the rentals, the multifamily Latino house (12 people inside 13 cars outside), plus the southeast Asians and Polynesians and Africans (real ones) and such.

Who the hell cares what their neighbors look like? Behavior is the only criteria that matters.

  16. sdferr says:

Who the hell cares what their neighbors look like?

Stalin cared. He and his bureaucracy were exceedingly skilled at state actuated forcible relocations. HUD can consult his well established procedures to their efficient profit.

  17. leigh says:

I live within a few miles of loads of hillbillies who engage in Civil War Reenactments and fly Rebel flags outside. I don’t believe they’d much like to be told by their new neighbors that they can’t do that anymore because it’s “offensive”.

The new neighbors are welcome to give it a go, but my money is on the flags staying up.

  18. geoffb says:

New terms defined in this section include “affirmatively furthering fair housing,”“assessment of fair housing, community participation,”“disproportionate housing needs,”“fair housing choice,”“fair housing determinant,”“fair housing issue,”“fair housing enforcement and fair housing outreach capacity,”“integration,”“racially or ethnically concentrated area of poverty,”“segregation,” and “significant disparities in access to community assets.”

Good “new” definitions. I hope they make bacon a vegetable. The tomatoes are just coming to ripeness and, nice all veggie sandwiches will be a boon.

  19. geoffb says:

McGehee, You beat me to the @SettlerColonial thought. I bet this was the inspirational phrase.

You can’t keep it all for yourself, because it was never yours to begin with.

  20. Alec Leamas says:

Well, assholes like dale fucked up my childhood neighborhood with their meddling and Section 8 Housing Vouchers to promote “economic and racial diversity” – why wouldn’t they pick up where they left off? I swear these people are the original Shit Midas.

Note also dale’s comment – the object is more to punish those who engage in “white flight” by frustrating their presumably nefarious plans much more so than it is to help anyone in a meaningful and material way.

Oh – I almost forgot – fuck you, Dale.

  21. geoffb says:

Affirmatively affirming an affirmative affirmation of our firmness in commitment to Affirmatively firm Action – BAMN! – PDF.

  22. Alec Leamas says:

Maybe people don’t need to be stocked into “communities” as if by some amateur aquarium hobbyist? What arrogant fucking pricks.

  23. newrouter says:

how’s come black congressional districts aren’t scrutinized? oh right shut up.

  24. Shermlaw says:

Pablo, it’s even worse than Kurtz suggests. Dale hints at the endgame in his comment. The Prog view is that those of us who live in nice neighborhoods and send our kids to decent schools obtained those things through illegitimate means. Thus, government has every right to rectify that situation, extracting payment for our sins by telling us where we can live, when/if we can move and where our children will be schooled. Common Core is one component of this, establishing a universal dumbed down curriculum which the Proles will be unable to escape. These new HUD initiatives provide only the most minimal whiff of the stench the Progs wish to inflict upon us. This stuff, with which I’ve been familiar for awhile, is why I cannot get hyped for Levin’s Amendment Convention. Our house is on top of a sinkhole, but we’re getting excited about putting on new siding.

  25. McGehee says:

    Geoffb, STOP READING MY MIND!

Seriously, who do you think you are, the NSA?

  26. Blitz says:

Ummm.. Jeff? Boss? sir? WE listen It’s just that no matter what? the message doesn’t get out. I have friends on facebook that can’t even identify ENTS for cry eye..

I have no idea. I kinda quit honestly.

  27. BigBangHunter says:

    – Maybe we should just declare the Prog-asses the new King Henry and act accordingly. I’m down for it.

  28. Blitz says:

BBH? You have NO idea of what I’m up for. Hatchets? Tea? Rookies.

  29. Blitz says:

Ok, I don’t comment here often because I’m really not capable of keeping up, BUT…My last is really a shot across the bow. I know what’s coming, and so do you all.

I’m not proposing a war, but it will come. I don’t want to fight a war,but I will. Please allow me, the least of the least, to say that I would fight for everyone here.

No generation has ever experienced what we are seeing now, they don’t KNOW that the past is the future! I may have put that clumsily, but my point is? LET IT BURN

    I can survive.

  30. Blitz says:

OH!!! and on topic? the fuck? they’re going to make rich white people move into my neighborhood? I don’t think so…

Too strange. Is reality bent? Only time will tell

  31. dicentra says:

the object is more to punish those who engage in “white flight” by frustrating their presumably nefarious plans much more so than it is to help anyone

    I beg to differ.

The people who get to tell those vile white people that their new next-door neighbors are the Crips on one side and M17 (or whatever the hell they’re commemorating now) on the other, will receive enormous amounts of endorphins to the brain, swelling to the ego, and source to the narcissism.

  32. Blake says:

White families permit? You mean us whites have the power to keep darky down and out and off our collective suburban front lawn? I had no idea, Dalekidiot, that we could make such arrangements.

Okay, who is with me on creating a suburb that only allows cranky “keep off my lawn” types and excludes the Daleks of the world?

  33. Jim says:

I think white, upper-middle class thirty-year-olds in Silver Spring, MD should have power to decide which black families live next to which white families in Birmingham, AL. Because the best and the brightest, with the expertise they garner in the universities, have the wisdom to make these decisions, unlike you-know-who. They have been trained to know which path will promote happiness and to have good discretion regarding the moral issues of rights and justice at play. These are the experts.

Are you really going to tell me that people living in Birmingham, AL know better about how to arrange their affairs? Better than someone without a law degree, a M. Public Administration, or even a bachelor’s in anything? Please.

  34. charles w says:

In 1969 we moved to a new concept neighborhood that was a called culturally diverse. We were supposed to live in harmony. The schools were so bad my parents put us in Catholic school. I carried a bat everywhere I went. As the hood became more diversified my parents wanted to know why I ditched school so much. I couldn’t tell them that I was tired of fighting my diverse friends. After one of the fine neighborhood youths was shot in our yard, my parents decided to move. Best thing that ever happened. The neighborhood is called Montbello in NE Denver. It is still a shit hole. Even the mayor of Denver who lives close to this place put his kids in a different school so they would not have to go to Montbello High. Dalek shove it up your ass. I will never let this happen to my kids.

  35. Darleen says:

    DK’s cowardly drive-by

You can’t keep it all for yourself, because it was never yours to begin with

The raison d’être of collectivists everywhere … along with “You didn’t build that”

an attempt to steal the bread out of the mouths of those that earned it based on little more than they DID earn it

    misanthropes

  36. Darleen says:

And is DK in favor of using social engineering to pour some white cream into the coffee of Baldwin Hills/Leimert Park/Windsor Hills/Ladera Heights?

  37. Patrick Chester says:

I guess you can tell someone feels a bit threatened if they sent their minion Dalekimitator to blather here.

Though they really need a better tool for the job, instead of just a tool.

  38. Patrick Chester says:

New terms defined in this section include “affirmatively furthering fair housing,”“assessment of fair housing, community participation,”“disproportionate housing needs,”“fair housing choice,”“fair housing determinant,”“fair housing issue,”“fair housing enforcement and fair housing outreach capacity,”“integration,”“racially or ethnically concentrated area of poverty,”“segregation,” and “significant disparities in access to community assets.”

    They keep using that word…

  39. newrouter says:

fu proggtards is the only reply to their “concerns”.

  40. BigBangHunter says:

    – Closer to the truth that what would be “fair” is after the fall we decide not to outright hang every one of the mothers.

    – I’ve said it before….there will come a time when, for very good reasons having to do with basic survival, it will be impossible to find anyone who will admit to being a Democrat or Progressive, or anything left of Reagan.

    – The assholes are building up a black Karma backlash that could destroy a mountain.

  41. BigBangHunter says:

You can’t keep it all for yourself, because it was never yours to begin with.

    – “It” of course, is the clean responsible lives that make “it” a preferred place to live, where drugs aren’t sold on every street corner, mom and dad work together in raising a family (and both exist), the lawns get cut and the rubish gets dumped and the house gets maintained and theres a general sense of friendliness and an atmosphere that anyone would be attracted too.

    – That “it” can’t be bottled and passed out by the nanny FED. All they can do is endlessly meddle in things they have no control of to the detriment of every decent place to live, and so then every neighborhood will eventually end up being a slum.

    *spit*

  42. BigBangHunter says:

    – I don’t think so Patrick. They are beyond egotistic to the point where they are so self assured and lacking in introspective they can’t think “threatened”.

    – Which in past times, that sort of lack of self preservation got a lot of people dead, and will this time also.

    – Look up “Emma Goldman” if you’re unfamiliar. This bullshit has all been done before, and I would bet the end results will be the same this time, maybe worse, because they’ve gone so much farther in trying to sell Socialism/Communism, and force it on the populace.

  43. Patrick Chester says:

Maybe “threatened” is the wrong term to use, I just noticed over the years that certain topics seem to attract floods of trolls on various conservative/classical liberal sites. Jeff’s limited comments so we’re stuck with the Dalek here.

I tend to think of it as a result of someone finding it “threatening” since the general tone of the trolls seems to be trying to drown out the topics by constant posting of the usual canned denunciations. Or perhaps if not threatened then they at least seem to want to nip that sort of thing in the bud by sending forth the flying monkeys to fling poo.

  44. Spiny Norman says:

    BBH,

All they can do is endlessly meddle in things they have no control of to the detriment of every decent place to live, and so then every neighborhood will eventually end up being a slum.

    Not a bug, a feature.

  45. newrouter says:

You are not prepared to budge an inch in the face of
demands for human rights or the slightest measure of democratization.
You have degraded and debased yourselves to such an
extent that everything you now do is but a further indictment of
yourselves, and proves the bankruptcy of your policies. You live in a
de/acto state of permanent crisis. By crisis I mean the inability to act
according to your own reason and conscience and to give independent
consideration to the matter of human rights, justice and the
welfare of the nation. I mean the inability to take critical stock of
what you do, because if you did, you might just have the courage to
ease off, change course, make rectifications and reparations, pursue
reforms, and so on. By crisis, I mean the state of total abdication of
personal responsibility, whereby you are incapable of planning and
implementing anything but suicidal policies. As time goes on, the
chances dwindle for you to mend your ways and introduce the
rectifications that would save you. By crisis I mean the level to which
you have sunk of describing every attempt at improving the status
quo and restoring the health of national life as a conspiracy or as
organized subversion, or of trying to find ‘networks’ or links
abroad, seeking to prove that everything originates in a foreign
    conspiracy.

  47. Ernst Schreiber says:

You remember that scene is Dr. Zhivago when the Bolsheviks economically integrated the palace town house of the aristocratic upper-middle class Zhivago family, and everyone had to work together cooperatively to stay warm though the St. Petersburg Leningrad winter by burning all the books and furniture?

    That was awesome.
