Man, these inconvenient non-ties between Iraq and transnational terrorism just keep piling up.
I mean, I’m to the point where if Keith Olbermann and Howard Dean weren’t so darn certain about there being no connection whatever between Saddam and terrorists, I’d be getting a little suspicious. Which, that could put a good-sized dent in my woldview.
So please. Stop it, I beseech you. We’re beyond this. Bush lied. LIED!
SO STOP WITH ALL YOUR STUPID DIGGING ALREADY!

update: FASCIST, CHIMP-WORSHIPING WARMONGERS!

What? Too much, you think?
Sure, you have your serious indications of cooperation, but where’s the connection?

If the Neocon, fascist chimp-suckers don’t quit their snooping around, THE TERRORISTS WILL WIN!!!
…and by “terrorists”, I mean Chimpy McHaliburton, of course.
NO! Does this mean that W really could have had a clue??? The logical conclusion to that line of thinking will be more the French-lickers will be able to handle.
Say it ain’t so, Jeff, say it ain’t so!
Zionist imperialist lies tools to Chimpler McHalliburton…..
Since:
1- Contrary to what some people think ‘is’ means, Clinton did indeed have sex with that woman (or does it depend upon what the word sex means?)
2- More Americans died in 9/11 than Iraq.
This summary of 9/11:
Is more ‘factually factual’ (as per Howard Dean) than the hard left’s rendition of Iraq:
It will be interesting to see if the German intelligence and Able Danger blow back onto Gorelick/Reno/Clinton
But… umm… Oooh, I know:
Bu$hitler didn’t know about the connections, he was just making them up so he could go to war for oil, so even if the stuff he made up turns out to be “true”, he was still lying because OIL ISRAEL HALLIBURTON!!!!!
I hate to be one to pile on, but, what the hell. Here’s some more data to assimilate:

I like the part near the bottom where a federal judge issues a judgement that there is evidence that Saddam helped Al Qaiada on 9/11.
Iraq, Islamist, neo-Nazi
Let me first say I think it is a bit pathetic to try and back-full an arguement for going to war in Iraq (esp. an invalidated one). The same sort of wobbly thinking drive the Intelligent Design debate; the universe, and all that sail upon her, is so complex it must have been designed by and intelligent creator, therefore there is a God!
Getting back to topic, those still desperately trying to establish the links to make the case for war simply highlight the weakness of that part of the arguement for going to war. You might want to think about that Jeff. Maybe I can help you with you schtick (sp?), being a disinterested observer ‘n all? Concentrate on shoring up the defensible parts of the case.
Nevertheless, in the interests of being more than opinionated I Googled up some about 6,340 links over the past year for ‘Saddam’, ‘Islamist, ‘terrorist’, “neo Nazi” and ‘Right Wing’.You don’t have to go to Germany to find evidence of linkages:
It’s an ok read, but it is as about as soft-on as
But you would expect that from Petrified Truth’s tagline, “Transforming fact into rumor.”. What’s your excuse?
An invalidated one? What are you talking about? There is no doubt Iraq was in league with terrorists, as the 911 report made quite clear. The question here is whether or not Saddam had an official arrangement with Al Qaeda. We cannot prove an operational relationship—which means, simply, we can’t find a signed contract. But Iraqi intelligence officers did indeed meet with bin Laden. And here are some other things of interest.
Then there’s this, quoting the NYT.
I suppose this argument will never end, but let me try one more time for Wadard.
I think all of us were surprised that we found no WMD given the fact that we know he had them and had used them and (more importantly) that intelligence pointed to him having them. I myslelf believe he hid them in Syria. We gave him so much time to do so. But even if that isn’t true, there is no doubt that Saddam hated us and wanted more land in the region. There is no doubt that he was bilking billions from the food for oil scandal and was weapons shopping all over the world. Those are facts.
I believe that most of us (including Democrats in Congress) would have made the same decision to go to war given the intelligence we had. After 9-11 we can no longer HOPE that those who clearly hate us will not strike us. We can no longer ignore a threat. We had done enough ignoring.
It takes large amounts of resources to attack the U.S. Saddam had those resources. We had frozen Al-Queda’s accounts. Where else would they have turned for money? Who else would be more willingly to give it to them?
Yes. Yes. I know. That is just a theory. But if an agency trained to get this kind of information was telling me that my country was in danger from someone and common sense tells me that this person is dangerous. Then I must act. You can blame Bush all you wish, But if one of the dems in Congress had been President, they would have made the same decision. After all, they voted to go to war.
We must remember this though. We are no longer fighting Saddam. He is gone. We are, without a doubt, fighting those who want to kill us.
And that is why this is a noble cause.
and it only took until three years AFTER the war to find the evidence! next month: WMD in saddam’s closet! a receipt from OBL for a hotel in iraq! coming in 2006: rumsfeld robs a bank and comes up with an alibi in time for the 2008 elections!
finally coming up with shreds of evidence, three years after the war started, three years after disclosing that there was evidence. wanna see it, american people? oh, it’s classified. sorry. trust me. just, trust me.
Oh, look at James!—so convinced of his own smarmy faux righteousness that he thinks it wise to drop in here and make jokes. When what he really should be doing is reading the joing resolution authorizing the President to go to war in Iraq.
But then, cherrypicking some of the reasons offered in that resolution that weren’t met to his satisfaction and on his timetable makes it much easier to pretend we went to war on a lie, and allow James to claim he knows more about Iraq and the war, etc, than the evil Administration who, y’know, just felt like trying out some weapons.
