Michelle Tyler, a licensed vocational nurse, said Filner asked to be alone with her after a June 11 meeting to discuss the difficulties Marine veteran Katherine Ragazzino was having with the Veterans Affairs Department over her benefits.
Once alone, Tyler said the mayor started rubbing her arm and complimenting her. Filner told her, “Relax, you are incredible. I will help your veteran. I want you to go out to dinner with me and spend time with me.”
He later said, “I am going to help her and I want you to spend time with me” and “Will you go to dinner with me if I help your Marine? Can I call you?” according to Tyler’s account.
Yes ladies, he goes to eleven.

Filner’s scum. At his age, and after what appears to be a lifetime of sexual harassment, no one believes that 1 lousy seminar (per his lawyer) or now two weeks of “addiction” treatment would have any affect on his behavior. I say give him the full Mark Foley treatment and tie him to every last Democrat, especially the women who enabled his career.
In a sane world his career would have been cut short decades ago. But in the Democrats’ insatiable thirst for power he was given their full support. Meanwhile, the Republicans are so busy fretting about being associated with those icky, uncredentialed or “extreme” Tea Party types that they would rather lose than tarnish their inside-the-beltway cred with their esteemed colleagues and the media. The result is that they end up helping the opposition, letting the power-hungry Filners win.

– Actually Ernst there are more than a few indications that Filners poor voting record and rather anti-Progressive actions here in the city during his tenure “may” have had something to do with the “leaks” that started back last month.
– The fact that it took still longer for the local Dem politicia to get the word has just served to emphasize the extent of the willingness to accept any shit as long as you get your preferred results.
– There are a lot of prominent Dems that will bite it in the next election over their support of Filner, right up until the last possible second.
– The wymans can go screw themselves as far as the Left is concerned. What matters is a gaye Conservative, Dimaio, could very well end up as Mayor, an idea that gives the local Dem body politic a record case of hives.
I’ll be going to visit with and care for my father, who lives in San Diego, again this coming Monday. Every night I read a portion of the paper to him since he cannot see well enough to read any more. I hope he’s had enough of the Filner story. I was already there and reading to him when the story broke last month.
By the way, it was not clear what his party was until the second or third day of reporting. Of course, the local paper there is a commie rag, so that isn’t surprising.
