Yeah, that’s a famous tape among O’s fans and media types. There’s another great one where he goes out on the field to purposely get tossed, and he and Ron Luciano are yelling at each other, and Luciano yells, “I KNOW YOU’RE JUST OUT HERE TRYING TO PROTECT YOUR PLAYERS, EARL,” and Earl yells, “YEAH, I GOTTA DO IT, RON. WHERE YA HAVING DINNER TONIGHT?”

Actually the one of Tommy Lasorda was during a world series game (1981, I think) when they first experimented with mic-ing managers and players. Without telling him, they cut to his mic and he was going off.

I have been searching for this since I lost my original. It is too bad this version has the Manager’s corner intro over the part where he calls Don Stanhouse an asshole, says Stanhouse smokes too many cigarettes and then says that’s why he has Timmy Stoddard coming out and shoving a bat their asses.
