“NAACP Official: Obama Campaign Staffer Threatened Me” [Darleen Click]

Ah, the acrid smell of desperation in the air

CHICAGO (CBS) — The President of the South Suburban Branch of the NAACP alleges a director of the re-election campaign of Barack Obama has threatened and intimidated him because he doesn’t support the president. […]

David Lowery says he believes he was threatened during a phone conversation with Louis Raymond, the Illinois political director for Obama for America.

Lowery says he doesn’t personally support the president because he’s not addressing issues important to the black community. He said he was explaining that to Raymond when the Obama campaign official told him, “You know what? I know everything about you.”

Lowery says Raymond added, “We’ve been watching you, and since you don’t support Obama, we’ll deal with you,” before hanging up.

Lowery filed a report with the Oak Forest police report, he says, “in case something happens.”

If Lowery had a nasty divorce and his ex-wife had huge breasts he’s in for a rough time.

    That’s how these folks roll.

There’s a saying about laying down with dogs and something about fleas. I can’t remember the exact quote…

    Mike! Are you there?

  3. LBascom says:

How about a movie quote? “Just When I Think I’m Out, They Pull Me Back In!”

  4. LBascom says:

That movie quote? Here’s another link.

President Obama invoked AARP to defend his health care law last night, prompting the influential group to release a statement telling him not to do that again.

“While we respect the rights of each campaign to make its case to voters, AARP has never consented to the use of its name by any candidate or political campaign,” the group posted in a statement. “AARP is a nonpartisan organization and we do not endorse political candidates nor coordinate with any candidate or political party.”

Obama can perhaps be forgiven for thinking he could mention AARP given how they coordinated with him to pass Obamacare, which is a golden goose for the organization.

Obviously Mr. Lowery doesn’t realize that as far as the Obama campaign is concerned, getting Mr. Obama re-elected is the single greatest issue for the black community…

Ann Authouse, Glenn is speaking to you…

If you’re the only one that can hear the “dog whistle”, then you’re the dog

  7. BigBangHunter says:

    – Sort of sounds like what we watched last night….

“Just a story of a man and his dog.”

  8. BigBangHunter says:

“….Which asks the question; How ever did an inauthentic Black get into the NAACP ?”

  9. @PurpAv says:

NAACP bought the ticket, now they gotta take the ride.

Don’t you kinda wish you supported a political group where talk like this didn’t automatically make you worry about imminent physical danger and makes you call the cops instead of thinking about them working in committee and caucus to get you removed from your post? Couldn’t support Republicans or Tea Party could you? No. They’re raaaaacist an evil and who knows what they might do.
Please give us a call once you get perception recalibrated because right now? dude.

    Heh:

Yet there he was, giving a presentation devoid of substance, vision, principle, or even basic coherence. He didn’t show a spark of anger, even when Romney slyly found a way to call him a boy, comparing Obama’s statements to the sorts of childish lies his “five boys” used to tell.

How the right’s hard-core racists must have howled at that! Mitt, at long last, has secured his base.

  12. StrangernFiction says:

“But the government said the total number of jobs employed surged by 873,000, the highest one-month jump in 29 years.”

Well if the government said it, it must be true.

    Didn’t see this coming.

  13. Pablo says:

114K = 873K. New math, racist. Shut up.

  14. Squid says:

I’d love for Romney to come right out and smack that Harper’s kid with something like,

“I didn’t call him ‘boy;’ I just compared him to a desperate lying teenager. You’re desperate to call me racist because you can’t admit — or don’t want people to realize — that it’s a perfectly accurate description.

By the way, how’s circulation over there? Sort out your little management problems yet?”

But that’s in my imaginary world, where Republicans respect the Constitution and Romney has a bit of fighting spirit. And the sky is a lovely shade of lavender.
