Just for fun and practice

Found the following in the comments to a story about a business in OK whose owner put up a sign telling President Obama to kiss his ass.  The comment I’ll present you is pure, concentrated pro-Obama spin — the kind where reality is constructed ex-post-facto around the summary of Obama’s tenure as it is here framed rather than reflecting the happenings of the world we all live in, the kind where it is imperative to deconstruct things as they actually are in order to create the “truths” upon which progressives attempt to defend — nay, extol! — Obama’s first term.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to deconstruct the hurried, surreal, improbable “deconstruction” of reality that stands in as a progressive “reality,” manufactured by pure will and a coalition of cynical consensus  — and in so doing, reveal the anti-foundationalism of the left for the rhetorical vaporware it is, while at the same time returning us, by way of intellectual rigor and the citation of demonstrable facts, to our enlightenment roots.

Here it is.  Have at it:

Obama has doubled the stock market to 11-year highs, taken employment from 760,000 per month of job LOSSES to 150,000 per month GAINS; (4.9 million new jobs in the last 30 months, 1 million this year so far) Obama ended the Iraq War and is getting us OUT of Afghanistan; captured and killed Osama Bin Laden and Khadaffi and 23 of the top 30 Arab terrorist leaders, saved GM and Chrysler, took us from the Bush Depression to positive economic growth with 2-3% real growth projected for this year, gotten us to be an OIL EXPORTER for the first time in 60 years; turned housing around from its Bush Crash, has gotten MANUFACTURING on the upswing, reduced the deficit in every year since Bush’s last deficit, and has been in charge while business profits and cash go to record highs, and has more Mexicans LEAVING than entering the USA. And he has made us an OIL EXPORTER!

Feel free to throw in some ALL CAPS at random if it helps MAKE YOUR POINT.

Tulsa is land o’ liberals and recipients of benefits. The letters to the editor always have a bunch of ALL-CAPS and excessive punctuation!!!!

  2. missfixit says:

The fact that Mexicans are now LEAVING the U.S. undermines the entire paragraph before it.

It’s like, if I wrote a whole paragraph about how young and ageless Joan Rivers looks. And then I finished by saying, her surgeon did such a fantastic job on her that his client base dried up and he was able to retire!

Obama has doubled the stock market to 11-year highs

The all time high for the DJIA was 14,100, on OCTOBER 9, 2007!!1!! That is higher THAN TODAY’S 13,250 and well less than 11 years ago. ElevENTY!!!11!

taken employment from 760,000 per month of job LOSSES to 150,000 per month GAINS

We’re DOING BETTER than the absolute bottom of a recession! But not well enough to keep up with popULATION GROWth. Recovery Summer 4: Still Not Dead, Are You?

    Obama ended the Iraq War

Actually, he tried and failed to keep it going. Instead, it ended just the way GEORGE W BOOOOOSH negotiated IT.

    is getting us OUT of Afghanistan;

    Oh, really?

OK, I don’t want to be a PIG about it!!1!!1!!

Too many comments, so I couldn’t find this particular “commenter”. However, as these blatant bullshit LSD butterfly “facts” are obviously fomented from a dedicated Media Matters disciple copying and pasting (yet clearly showing a fucking “Jim Jones” psychotic nature), I deduce, in the real world we all live in (sans Thorazine, Lithium, Mental Retardation, etc)…

    Bizzaro World?

Anywho, I think that one, and many others like he/she/it, will take he/she/it and he/she/it’s lineage out of the collective gene pool sooner rather than later.

    D’Sousa: How I became George Obama’s ‘brother’

A few days ago I received a call from a man I recently met named George. He was a bit flustered, and soon informed me that his young son was sick with a chest condition. He pleaded with me to send him $1,000 to cover the medical bills. Since George was at the hospital I asked him to let me speak to a nurse, and she confirmed that George’s son was indeed ill. So I agreed to send George the money through Western Union. He was profusely grateful. But before I hung up I asked George, “Why are you coming to me?” He said, “I have no one else to ask.” Then he said something that astounded me, “Dinesh, you are like a brother to me.”

Actually, George has a real life brother who just happens to be the president of the United States. (George Obama is the youngest of eight children sired by Barack Obama Sr.) George’s brother is a multimillionaire and the most powerful man in the world. Moreover, George’s brother has framed his re-election campaign around the “fair share” theme that we owe obligations to those who are less fortunate.

One of Obama’s favorite phrases comes right out of the Bible: “We are our brother’s keeper.” Yet he has not contributed a penny to help his own brother. And evidently George does not believe, even in times of emergency, that he can turn to his brother in the White House for help.

  8. Pablo says:

One of Obama’s favorite phrases comes right out of the Bible: “We are our brother’s keeper.”

Actually, no, it doesn’t. The question “Am I my brother’s keeper?” was uttered by Cain when questioned about the whereabouts of his brother Abel, whom he’d murdered.

  9. leigh says:

    Actually, no, it doesn’t.

No kidding, right? That chaps my hide everytime the douche says it.

    saved GM and Chrysler

My ASS! He ‘Saved’ GM’s DESTROYERS, the far-Left LABOR UNIONS; the entities that DROVE the companies to their KNEES in the first place, with their demands for more and more and MOAH! unearned and undeserved benefits; for which the dope-smoking jagoffs paid their employers back by doing less and less ‘real’ work as years went by; while NISSAN and TOYOTA and HONDA and VOLKSWAGEN and MERCEDES built plants on American soil that REFUSED! Union THUGS! employment, so as to stay productive and competitive (evil CAPITALIST words, those!); those did so well that they were KILLING GM and Chrysler (both should’ve been allowed to fail, so as to restructure and eliminate the predatory UNIONS!) (oh, speaking of Chrysler: BARACK ‘saved’ it by selling it off to (foreign-owned) FIAT, as shitty a car manufacturer as has ever ExiStEd!!

    – Drudge had a whole interview with George, and there were a few items that did not fit to well with Obama’s account of things. The time line is really misty. IYKWIMAITYD.

    – Apparently Barry, that leetle debil, was in Kenya, and Connecticut, and Hawaii, all at the same time when he was 15,

    An more;

A couple of years ago, George teamed up with a British journalist Damien Lewis and the two of them published George’s story in a book called “Homeland.” Yet according to Lewis, shortly before the book’s publication in America, the publisher Simon & Schuster decided to shred the entire print run, more than 20,000 copies. Lewis tried unsuccessfully to get an explanation from Simon & Schuster but to no avail. He now suspects that the White House convinced Simon & Schuster that George’s story might prove embarrassing to the president.

Fiat is the one that makes those Stimulus financed/ overseas manufactured tiny little fancy go-cart (“cars”) where you put a penny on the little hinge on the back end, rub it on the carpet real good, and it’ll do a wheelie for like 4 seconds, right?

  17. BigBangHunter says:

    – Unemplyment comparisons:

    – The day Bush left office – 5.7%

    – 44 straight months under Obama – 8.2% or higher (actual uncooked figure – 10.7% or higher)

    – So what Jug ears has doubled is unemployment, not the stock market.

Only if you didn’t know who he was to begin with.

To me, he’s the same guy he’s always been. Anyone promoted by Ayers was who everyone should have known him to be. Meanwhile, I beg for monthly coin, and people like Peggy Noonan and David Brooks still have careers as “conservative” commentators.

Not to put to fine a point on it, but that right there is part of the reason we’re so fucked.

  23. serr8d says:

The collective Left so hates this nation, is so envious and covetous of those who have more than they have, that they knowingly pressed this destructive character on all of us. I’ll bet that many of them had, deep down and dimly but still, a kernel of realization that Obama will likely destroy this Republic, for us and for our children. CHANGE, you see.

But the far-Left who pulled these strings refuses to believe in any great plan or purpose, human or divine; they figure what the hell, human-animals have just a few dozen years to play out and around; there’s no maker, we’ve no souls, so let’s just shake things up.

This is what happens when we let humanimals gain control.

    THEY ARE INVINCIBLE!

  35. JHoward says:

The blue line accounts for unemployment WITH those who have simply stopped looking in the long term — the “official” unemployment rate is intentionally misleading, as is the “official” inflation index when it factors incompletely so as to keep the numbers down.

The seasonally-adjusted SGS Alternate Unemployment Rate reflects current unemployment reporting methodology adjusted for SGS-estimated long-term discouraged workers, who were defined out of official existence in 1994. That estimate is added to the BLS estimate of U-6 unemployment, which includes short-term discouraged workers.

The U-3 unemployment rate is the monthly headline number. The U-6 unemployment rate is the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ (BLS) broadest unemployment measure, including short-term discouraged and other marginally-attached workers as well as those forced to work part-time because they cannot find full-time employment.

    null

  36. JHoward says:

The SGS-Alternate GDP reflects the inflation-adjusted, or real, year-to-year GDP change, adjusted for distortions in government inflation usage and methodological changes that have resulted in a built-in upside bias to official reporting.

He claimed that Obama’s appearance cost him some $25,000 in revenue, which he described wryly as making a “campaign contribution against my will.” “I wouldn’t have voted for him before,” Cunningham told the Des Moines Register. “I won’t again.”

Stop #2: Wind farm. Perfect optics, great photo op, campaign couldn’t be happier. Owners of the farm? “It is important not to get caught up in the president’s glamorous re-election words and remember that President Obama’s first term record and rhetoric does not represent Middle America, entrepreneurs, small business owners and farmers.”

Stop #3: Davenport. Perfect optics, great photo op, campaign couldn’t be happier. Co-owner of the catering company that provided food? Showed up with the food while wearing a black T-shirt with big, bold white letters that read, “Government didn’t build my business. I did”
