“America’s First Drone-Assisted Arrest Upheld in Court”

Farmers stockpiling weapons on their own property?  That’s a bit suspicious.  Very “right-wing terrorist-y,” in fact — the second and fourth amendments notwithstanding.  Best call out the bomb squad, the SWAT team, and fly a drone over the farm.  Just so long as you don’t, you know — pause along the way to pick up a pack of illegals.  We needn’t engage in hate while doing our law enforcement jobs, after all.

For freedom!

(thanks to JHo. For the nightmares.)

The entire problem was caused by the behavior of the police. They then solved it by using paramilitary tactics and equipment, and more people are now going to have to spend a lot of money to defend themselves against an overreaching government.

    You’re welcome, I think.

cranky, what’s that about govt overreach?

Note that the .40 hp is an urban small arms round — and that that amount comes out to twelve years at 100,000 rounds a day.

The second link is simple status quo in these here USSA.

    Sleep well, civs. Sleep well.

What plan? To even more aggressively defend their private property and leave everyone else alone?

These idiots truly will not stop until they’ve destroyed polite society.

I’ve seen where people have advocated shooting down drones. I think that’s a terribly silly and dangerous idea, because bullets come back down at some point.

However, the command and control infrastructure (antennae) should be extremely vulnerable. Not that I’m suggesting or advocating, mind you.

Blake — a few months ago an “animal rights” terrorist group decided they’d fly a drone over a club’s pigeon shoot.

Apparently they didn’t consider that the place was full of people practiced and equipped to shoot down small, aerial targets…

At only terminal velocity, assuming you weren’t joking.

Sounds like these people were fortunate that they ran afoul of the local police and sheriff’s department. If the BATF had been called in they’d probably have been trapped in their home and burned alive.

If they’re not fired straight up, bullets will maintain their ballistic spin and strike whatever they hit hard enough to kill — it’s happened.

    Shotgun pellets, now…

    For the children.
