This has to be one of the dumbest statements ever by a parent:
“D’s are the only thing keeping him from getting F’s,’’ Alex’s dad, Doug Johnson, said. “He’s an incredibly bright kid, but he couldn’t care less about school.’’
So if the kid couldn’t care less about school, you the parent Doug Johnson obviously have no problem with that, what’s the difference if the kid gets a “D” or an “F”?
(BTW, I wish I would’ve thought of that back in high school—“But Mom, the D kept me from getting an F.”)
But, can’t you just renumber it so they go from 1 to 10 again?
These go to 11.
Classic. There was an “interview” with him in Guitar Player long ago. In the interview, he had had a guitar made that went up to 11 as well.
That way, overall, he could go to 22.

Great quote. Only rivaled (perhaps) by Nigel’s innocent query about the new album cover:
“What’s wrong with being sexy?”
That way, overall, he could go to 22.
That’d be 121. But who’s counting?
Just quoting the interview. Don’t blame the messenger.
