Eric Holder: no, I never read those Fast and Furious Memos. Was too busy reading about how I hadn't read them to pay them any mind, in fact

The Daily Caller, “Holder lashes out at The Daily Caller while refusing to address growing calls for his resignation”:

Embattled Attorney General Eric Holder today demanded The Daily Caller stop publishing articles about the growing calls in Congress for his resignation because of the failed Operation Fast and Furious gun-walking program.

As Holder’s aide was escorting the attorney general offstage following his remarks Tuesday afternoon at the White House, a Daily Caller reporter introduced himself and shook Holder’s hand. The reporter asked him for a response to the growing chorus of federal legislators demanding his resignation.

Holder stepped towards the exit, then turned around, stepped back toward the reporter, and sternly said, “You guys need to — you need to stop this. It’s not an organic thing that’s just happening. You guys are behind it.”

Holder then walked offstage without answering TheDC’s request for comment about calls for his resignation.

Heh. “Organic.” Meaning, Holder thinks the story has been baked up and pushed by a vast rightwing conspiracy bent on taking him down.

How precious. Or, to put it another way, when you’re an Alinskyite yourself, the whole world begins looking like a rule for radicals.

Currently 52 members of Congress, three presidential candidates and two sitting Governors have called for Holder’s immediate resignation. Many of those lawmakers and political figures have issued statements exclusively to The Daily Caller in which they have called for Holder to step down. This is chiefly because TheDC is the most prominent mainstream media outlet covering this burgeoning international scandal.[…]

Holder is the nation’s leading law enforcement official and reports directly to President Barack Obama.

This was not the first time Holder has criticized The Daily Caller’s coverage of Operation Fast and Furious. In his first-ever unsolicited letter to Congress about the gun-walking operation on October 7, Holder criticized Rep. Paul Gosar for comments he made exclusively to TheDC. Gosar had said the Obama administration officials responsible for Fast and Furious were equivalent to “accessories to murder.”

Holder was the primary speaker at a White House event Tuesday intended to publicize a new national campaign stigmatizing the purchase of counterfeit consumer goods including clothing, medicines, software, songs and movies.

One of the ads unveiled during the event asked consumers not to buy such products because the money would help illegal gunrunners.

Isn’t that just like hard leftist ideologue? First create the problem, then point to it as a problem, blame on it everyone else, then offer to step in and fix it.

Sadly, to many Americans grown increasingly reliant on a great big Nannystate, this formula is just peachy.

Given what they did to Scooter Libby over nothing, how is Holder not facing a special prosecutor probing yet?

Speaking of creating the problem, then pointing it out as a problem –

Watch and despair. Except, of course, this woman isn’t offering to step in and fix it. She is demanding that someone else (that would be you and me) fix it FOR her.

Of course, in a broader fashion, this problem was created by liberals. And they do have a solution. We simply find a way to pay for her “problem.”

To remain OT/ My outrage meter regarding Holder has been stuck at 11 for so long …

His Party membership is protecting him.

Carin — can’t see the video. What’s the gist of it?

  4. Carin says:

Crawford – woman had 15 kids with 3 men, father of the last 10 is in jail. She doesn’t have any way to support them and they’re hungry, and she makes the demand that SOMEBODY needs to pay for these kids. It’s rather depressing actually. She had a right to have all those kids, because she loves them and they’re a gift from God, but it’s not her responsibility to pay for ’em.

Obama Admin Seals Records of Murdered Border Patrol Agent Implicated in Fast and Furious:

The Obama Administration has abruptly sealed court records containing alarming details of how Mexican drug smugglers murdered a U.S. Border patrol agent with a gun connected to a failed federal experiment that allowed firearms to be smuggled into Mexico.

This means information will now be kept from the public as well as the media. Could this be a cover-up on the part of the “most transparent” administration in history? After all, the rifle used to kill the federal agent (Brian Terry) last December in Arizona’s Peck Canyon was part of the now infamous Operation Fast and Furious. Conducted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), the disastrous scheme allowed guns to be smuggled into Mexico so they could eventually be traced to drug cartels.

  6. Joe says:

Carin, I know plenty of couples who would take them and give them homes, love and support. The kids that is, not Eric Holder.

  7. Carin says:

TAKE HER BABIES? What kind of heartless monster are you?

  8. Pablo says:

One what likes kids and would like to seem them have a chance at success and self-reliance. Mommy is an anchor.

  9. DarthLevin says:

Whaddya mean “heartless”, Carin? It’s not like they’re Mexians.

  10. Slartibartfast says:

What if Nixon had sealed court records of the Watergate break-in? That would have fixed them!

  11. Carin says:

Yea, but since that obviously isn’t going to happen …

  12. Carin says:

    they’ll shut us up, Pablo.

Well there you go. Get off your back and on your knees, sister.

    Most. Transparent. Administration. Ever.

  15. Pablo says:

    they’ll shut us up, Pablo.

There’s a “cold dead tongue” line to be had there somewhere but I can’t be bothered to write it.

  16. Crawford says:

If someone sews her shut, I’ll chip in $25 a week to help. I’m sure there are thousands who will match that.

  17. Slartibartfast says:

I’m thinking the Obama administration only knows about transparency in a distant, Facebook-friend-of-a-Facebook-friend kind of way.

sdferr, I knew of this 2 weeks ago.

Why is the Weekly Standard 2 weeks behind the internet?

The guy who fixes our cars, Bill, is a genius at car-fixing and a wonderful person to do business with. One day we learned he is also an amazingly generous human being. At the end of a day, his wife came to the shop for some reason, and had a couple of kids with her. The way Bill said hi to one of them was a little different than what one would expect had it been his own child. He picked up on our noticing this, and explained that he and his wife had recently adopted that son. And that this was the second child they had adopted from the same mom. Seems the mom is a local prostitute and drug addict. She doesn’t care about the kids she has. Our mechanic and his wife care enough to actually raise them. Amazingly beautiful and humbling.

I read a story in the Daily Mail a few days ago about a man who has 15 children with 13 different women and two more on the way. Naturally, they are all on benefits and he doesn’t have a job or visit any of the kids regularly. The guy is 34. He must have a way with the ladies, alright.

  21. cranky-d says:

There’s something about being on the government dole that makes you helpless. There are also no real consequences for your actions. That makes it much easier for a guy to get his freak on.

  22. leigh says:

Someone somewhere in the UK needs to give that guy a vasectomy. I hate to even try to add up all of the coin they have made of the government: housing, child allowances, food, and medical. The guy is a pretty tall and strong looking guy in the picture accompanying the article. Apparantly, only one part of him works and is efficient as all get out.
