Having guitars with a “Made In America” sticker can be worth something as a selling point, and guitars made here always cost more than their imported equivalents, but the fact is that guitars made elsewhere are usually pretty darn good. Very few musicians are wealthy enough to absorb the costs of compliance of manufacturers dealing with a hostile government.
Bad news for Gibson, but good news for guitarists: Obama’s economic geniuses have created a vast sea of pawn shops that are absolutely overflowing with guitars.
