Aaaaaand checkmate?

“Secret recording: ATF agent suggests digging up dirt on Sen. Chuck Grassley to help forestall Gunwalker investigations”

Let’s see what kind of play this gets, or if those with investigative powers think it a kind of smoking gun. My guess is, this agent will be left hanging out there all alone.

Loyalty to this Administration only gets you as far as the next seat on the Obama Express; until, that is, it becomes necessary to throw you under it as way to save themselves.

the moose hunter was on hannity tonite and she says “eh maybe november i’ll decide”. she’s having fun with the status quo. please support the todd palin legal defense fund at rsm’s site.

Gunwalker’s fatally flawed “Operation Fast and Furious” intentionally allowed drug cartels to smuggle military grade weapons into Mexico where have they since been found at dozens of crime scenes — including some in the United States

Oh stop, please. Intentional evil? Say it ain’t so. I’m sure their intentions were pure and good. They meant well, damnit. Let’s move on, please. Such talk is most unhelpful.

If this don’t bring down at least Eric Holder, we’ll know we are already conquered.

  5. happyfeet says:

why do we not know the piece of shit ATF whore’s name? He should be famous like Shakira or Dr. Bruce Banner

The stupid runs deep in this DoJ. I wonder if the dealer has been kneecapped yet.

  7. McGehee says:

To be honest, these things the ATF guy is recorded saying don’t sound much different from some of the stuff I’ve wished out loud here in comments here and elsewhere, about various personages I’m in no actual position to do anything to.

I mean, it’s not like I’ll ever get to, say, hold Joe McGinniss down while Todd Palin beats the snot out of him. Unless Todd raffles off the privilege, as a fundraiser for his wife’s campaign or something. But then mine would only be one chance out of millions.

Point is, this guy’s blowing off steam about a U.S. Senator he knows he can’t touch.

I wonder why Lindsey and friends were so afraid to deny Holder’s right to the AG spot.

I guess if someone were afraid to say that “it was because Holder is black and they were afraid of being called ‘racist'”, that someone would be a coward where race is concerned.

  9. […] got this yesterday from Doug Ross via Jeff, but could just as easily have gotten it from Nice Deb, and I mentioned it briefly as an update to […]

    Looked pretty bad until I read;

“Actually my one suggestion was just tell him in a registered Republican. I’m sure if he knew that everything would be fine, they didn’t like that either.”

My empahsis. If he had said “they are thinking about it” or “They liked that one too”, then we would have to have metaphorical heads on pikes. However, this agent does need to be fired ASAP.

Yeah. But you don’t do it while committing crime, while on the taxpayers dime.
    Ooh. That rhymed.

These guys already committed several felonies. Not to mention being accessories in the murder of a boarder patrol agent.
Somebody has to go down for that.

  12. McGehee says:

Somebody has to go down for that.

Absolutely. And if this ATF agent is among them I’ll dance even if the armadillo doesn’t.

I’m just not real big on throwing in bogus charges in hopes they’ll stick. Yet another reason I didn’t go to law school.

    hf,

The CBS story lists the agent’s name as Hope MacAllister and identifies her as the lead case agent on “Fast & Furious” (at least with the gun dealer who recorded the conversation; the article is not clear on this point).

  14. happyfeet says:

Hope MacAllister needs an attitude adjustment and also she should be fired and put on food stamps for so we can at least have the benefit of the sublime multiplier effects

  15. Squid says:

A year ago, the Administration could easily have shrugged this off, confident that their lapdogs in the media would never dare start digging up the sordid details. Now, the same Administration has seen its glamour evaporate — its foot soldiers keep making boneheaded moves (@AttackWatch); the base is dispirited and angry; the GOP and Tea Party are increasingly pushing back; and worst of all, the media are starting to realize their terrible dereliction of duty.

It would be really, really gratifying to see a Pulitzer awarded for something that didn’t bash Chimpy McHitlerburton. That’s the sort of Change I could believe in!

  16. A fine scotch says:

According to congressional testimony, MacAllister was in charge of the whole case.

  17. happyfeet says:

MacAllister needs to be fired several times and then put in jail for many many moons so she can think about what a mockery she’s made of justice in our sad declining little country

    and NO food stamps!

  18. A fine scotch says:

And, Squid, it’s CBSNews(!) that’s been digging on this.

  19. Squid says:

Yeah, I know. I’m just saying that a year ago, no reporter would have touched it, and no editor would have let it see the light of day.

It’s sad, that I should cheer a major news organization for demonstrating a faint hint toward doing its basic job, but that’s what things have come to. Still, I’ll take it.

  20. NoisyAndrew says:

The only question is, when do we start hearing “What did the President know, and when did he know it?”

Because I really really want to hear the words “I am not a crook” pass Obama’s lips.

  21. McGehee says:

“I did not have financial relations with that company — Solyndra.”

  22. Mikey NTH says:

    come off, off, off
    off, off, off,
    off, off, off.
    The wheels on the bus
    come off, off, off
    All through the town.
