Uh, it’s Friday.  Where’s our dancing monkey?

Passed out under the coffee table with a William S. Burroughs novel tucked under his chin.  Which is about what you’d expect from a monkey who spent the better part of today eating corn chips and huffing model glue out of an Arby’s bag.

Great. An unconscious monkey with flatulence, who’s gonna wake up with a headache. Won’t this party be fun !

Maybe I can still make that root canal appointment if I hurry …

  2. Shelby says:

In lieu of the monkey, I offer you another, different yet oddly similar dance.

It’s very disturbing to me that they can dance much better than I….

  4. Zeb Trout says:

Incredible, Shelby, thanks for the dancing monkey fix.  It will be really interesting when, 4 or 5 generations down the road from these little guys, they slim them down, smooth them out, and start teaching them Kung Fu moves.  Won’t be long…hey, aren’t we all supposed to have rocketpacks by now?

Is anyone else just a little creeped out by this?

I think I would feel more comfortable if they didn’t appear so damned lifelike.

  6. Noah Doyle says:

With their little half-crouching stance, I expected them to start spraying the crowd with SMGs, moving with oddly human grace and machine perfection.

All together now: ‘I for one welcome…’

One wonders: Can those robots dance the Hoky-Poky?

  8. Scott P says:

AZlibertarian, it would be interesting to see what was more entertaining: the robots dancing the Hoky-Poky or the Japanese singing it:

“You put your rlight foot in, you take you rlight foot out…”
