Overheard in the Boston statehouse, July 25
Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reporter Colin McNickle: “In your speech, Mrs. Heinz Kerry, you said ‘We need to turn back some of the creeping, un-Pennsylvanian and sometimes un-American traits that are coming into some of our politics.’ What did you mean by un-American activity, precisely?”
THK: “I didn’t say that, man. You’re putting words in my mouth.”
Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reporter Colin McNickle: “No, you said ‘un-American activity.’ And I was wondering if you’d care to clarify what you meant by that.”
THK: “You know what this is? This is just another example of the white Establishment misrepresenting the will of the people –”
Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reporter Colin McNickle: “– But I have the quote right here, Mrs. Kerry –”
THK: “– trying to keep us down by quashing our political speech. Now shove it, baby. I got me some street crime to fight and some white women to pleasure, dig? Or maybe you’d rather I put my foot in your pasty ass…?”
Hush yo mouth!
<insert super-groovy wa-wa guitar here>
