I’ve never been much into arm wrestling — I have a fear of being tethered to another man by way of nylon straps — but that doesn’t mean I don’t want the strength of an accomplished arm wrestler.
An interesting piece of equipment. Honestly, from a purely mechanical standpoint, the bar itself would be good enough if you weren’t also going for the grip strength as well. But the combination of the two exercises in one movement seems pretty natural to me; a real training plus.
Have you tried it yet, or just considering buying it?
Fan as I am of any human competition, I can’t even watch arm-wrestling for a second. Wide World of Sports showed it when I was a kid, and I saw a dude get his twig snapped — one of the most gruesome things I ever saw. Every time I see anyone strap up, I expect to hear that sound.

Sammy Hagar can help.
And here I thought that was what 12 oz curls were for. It’s not the weight, it’s the reps….
